The fact this show wasn't renewed for season 2 due to corporate meddling is poetic

This was actually pretty good! Fun fact : if you’re going to do dangerous stuff, don’t have a family that can be used against you!

3:43 "And he had to watch his father self-delete" is crazyyy💀

Great show, I can see this happening to our world one day. Politicians, greed, power, money, corruption, you name it.

This show looks great. Too bad they canceled it after only one season

The idea of gene-splicing mangrove tree genes into wheat to make saltwater tolerant crops is pure genius.

I dont think that's how fainting works. "Ben quickly attacks him and the guy faints when his head hits the sink".

I've noticed that most, if not all, of these types of dystopian corpo ran world type stories never mention video games once. My head cannon is that in all of these realities video games were either banned or never progressed passed 2d game. Shit, maybe they were just never made at all. They have cage fighting but no robo fighting? They obviously have the tech for robots if they have self-driving cars in this specific story. It's extremely hard to believe that our world will ever get this bad because everyone isn't black and while with their morality, nor is every businessperson evil and extremely greedy. Yeah, the people at the top of big corps are greed driven, but every company they own or acquire isn't. It only takes one benevolent company to slow change the world for the better, and in such a smart way that they can't be bought out or forced to stop. Video games should be a way for you to make a living, and not just through tournaments where only top people are able to play. I mean betting on matches' winner, betting in a match against someone else, selling clothing, weapons, or items you made in game. But every company either thinks in a way to limiting way or they restrict you with their terms of service agreement.
