In a small town, all the child-bearing aged women become inexplicably pregnant overnight, and the children they give birth to come with very creepy secrets.

"People are passing out when they get too close to this town, so lets send in a helicopter." GENIUS!

bruh.. i found it so frustrating whenever someone witnessed something supernatural done by the kids and was not taken seriously by others... like... this entire situation happened because of unexplainable events... you know... like how everyone magically passed out and all the women becoming pregnant??? How is it hard to believe that there is more unexplainable and dangerous shit happening from these hyper aging, hyper intelligent children who you have PROVEN early on to be a hivemind??
  • The people in this town seem pretty dismissive of people’s experiences or reasonable theories. You would think all the females getting pregnant and delivering on the same day would make them less skeptical.
  • The plot is interesting for sure. However, in reality the children would have never been permitted to live with their parents. The government would have got the kids right away.
  • In case you're wondering about the title - in nature, cuckoo birds do not make nests of their own, opting instead for laying their eggs in other bird's nests. The host bird then takes care of the egg, which hatches and grows quickly, usually killing off the host bird's own eggs and babies.
  • 3:11 I like how you had to blur the “dead” body but none of the unconscious bodies, considering they’re ALL just actors playing dead/unconscious people and are literally neither dead/unconscious 😂

I’m glad one kid ended up being good and not a psycho killer lol

The second remake of "Village Of The Damned". The original made in 1960 and the first remake in 1995 with Kirstie Ally and Christopher Reeves. Always a good story even when remade.

I'm working on a assignment while binge watching these movie recaps on my side monitor (mostly just listening to it), and I love how I am more frustrated of this movie than the assignment I'm working on. The things going on are just completely stupid and handled unrealistically.

Honestly, if a whole town got knocked out and after they woke up all the women were mysteriously pregnant, if the government doesn't kill the kids the first chance they get as a precaution they deserve some kind of an apocalypse scenario...

Listening to a recap is actually better than sitting through the movie.

Personally, I ain't trusting one of those kids for anything💀

the amount of time i have heard "but he/she dosen't believe them" when talking about the abnormalties in kids that was alle connived the same day under EXTREAMLY abnormal conditins, BORNE the same day, and behave extreamly weird. That is the true baffeling thing about this film.... HOW don't you belive that the weird kids are weird?

So everyone gets pregnant at the same time, they know they have a hive mind, but somehow the woman who's suspicious is seen as crazy. Bad

I mean the idea seems to be good, it has enough tension and base to grow anywhere... but then we end up in a situation 'well we don't know anything... but they are dead now again...' .. What was their purpose, their goal... we've seen their powers (partially)... but then again we did not progress beyond that... The fact that one of them was able to cut himself out from the hive (by pain) because he wanted to do something different... would signal that they are individuals ... which actually could provide a basis for conversation and development. Like the one who stopped punishing her parents when her sister showed up... so much potential for a proper series... so few answers... Altough the fact that they were here once and returned... they could return once again... but i guess they will be even more angry...

I don't know whether to categorize this mini-series as a remake or a sequel, but is was very well done. I really enjoyed watching it. Sad but oddly satisfying ending though.
  • @Vednier
"tell her mother they didnt hurt dog, proceeds to hurt her mother, then repeats they didnt hurt dog" - oh yes, this is REALLY convincing. Its like pointing gun at some and telling him you mean no harm.
  • @Frink108
I love your recaps, but I was kind of lost half way through. Too many names to keep track of.
  • Sending in the helicopter was idiotic. Hopefully unrealistic. I can say my team and I would never have done that. They should have used several different drones- groups of ground and flying so as to perhaps overcome a dampening field each with different forms of shielding. If the motors failed then use passive drones i.e. air dropped with or without shutes.

That's an awesome way to reuse this story. I like how they did it. Its additions didn't seem out of place, the kids were still creepy AF.
