The Super Mario Bros. Movie features many of the iconic power-ups from the video games, but The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 has 15 more power-ups that it can use. The immense box office success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie has made a sequel to Nintendo and Illumination's first collaboration almost inevitable, meaning that more elements from the Mario universe will be hitting the big screen once again. Although not much is known about the highly-anticipated sequel yet, here are 15 new power-ups that can appear in The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2.
Based on Nintendo's iconic video game franchise, The Super Mario Bros. Movie finally brings the beloved platforming plumber to the big screen, with the film garnering tons of acclaim from fans. The Super Mario Bros. Movie is truly a love letter to the games, with it featuring all kinds of Mario Easter eggs and references that dig pretty deep. Many of these callbacks come in the form of power-ups, with the film featuring the Super Mushroom, Fire Flowers, the Super Bell, the Super Leaf, and more. While there are already plenty of power-ups, the first movie barely scratches the surface of what could come in the sequel.
