DIGGING UP A ROMAN VILLA !!

So happy it's local. My 7 year old will over the moon to see this. We as a family fossil hunt on the Warren frequently for his collection.

nice to see you two made it out. While some of the villa is making it's way down to the Warren much of it is on the slope. Time for some field walking.

The light stone is probably something called fifa and was used for vaulted ceilings in roman bath houses

I remember watching the history channel doc about this villa, very important historical navy officer made that villa
