Mark takes the New Minelab Manticore out with a plan to just focus on capturing the different audio responses the Manticore can make in sites with lots of signals and iron. A must see video if your currently own or plan on buying this incredible machine. This detector is one of the best available today. You will tag along with Mark as he takes you to the edge of a river where the gold miners of the 1850's were camped and the area is covered in nails and iron from the days of the gold rush. Later he moves to a different site and meets up with Andrew to try the machine in a mode as close to the XP Deus as possible. In the hands of Andrew who is an XP Deus user Mark gets to hear Andrew's thoughts on the new Minelab Manticore and the comparisons to the XP Deus II. The guys try their luck around an old home site from the 1870's to the early 1900's. Mark finds a pretty rare unfired "dropped" Henry's .44 Caliber Rimfire Rifle Cartridge right at the end of the day. So much more to learn from this machine but on this trip Mark wasn't focused on digging all of the signals but rather letting you the viewer listen to the sounds and tones as he toggled through many settings. Stay tuned for many more videos coming soon on the new Minelab Manticore Metal Detector. Also Mark just got the new Minelab Equinox 900 so watch for those videos too!!

I have seen a lot of videos on here. YOURS are by FAR SOME of the BEST on here. YOU speak clearly . It is easy to understand you !!! I thank you so very much for taking the time to make these :)
  • @Urge38
Best video I've seen to date on the Manticore. Grate job Simply, easy to follow dialogue. No hidden agenda either Many thanks
  • @monson47
Nice Video! Got a Nox, D2, and know a Manti. Haven't had much time to get o the M yet, so was glad to see this. One hint, to find the quietest channel, press and hold noise cancel button until the numbers stabilize.
  • All terrain fast should be called Simplex mode- that thing went from smooth as silk to an annoying Chatterbox! I doubt I will be using this mode very much on my manticore. Seriously, I would wrap this thing around a tree if I had to listen to that. There has to be a way to settle it down in that mode. I got my Manticore two days ago and I have been going through your videos one by one. Very well presented and useful information sir! I am now one of your subscribers.

I’m really enjoying your videos. I’m new to metal detectors and live in the Oregon high desert so it’s all frozen for months. I have all kinds of time for a long educational video. Thanks for taking the time to produce these.
  • @Headstoneman
I’m so excited to get mine out later this week! This machine is a serious upgrade from my Garrett AT max! I’ve watched a few of your videos now and I’m very impressed with this machines operation! Keep the videos coming!
  • @Geordie_1862
Watched all of that which surprised me as it was quite long - found it all informative and gives a better insight into the audio profiles for whenever my Manticore finally arrives.
  • @goldsmith001
Great hunt Mark, looking forward to more, thanks!
  • Nicely done Mark, fun up here in the mountains. It looks like it will take many hours to truly understand the Manticore, Cheers
  • @ArnieT1958
Great Video thanks for your input!! I've got one on pre order.. snowed in up here in Maine, gives me time to learn all i can from you pros!!
  • @brianb5505
Really like your videos. I did some more research on the Manticore and decided to try adapting to the sounds. I figured there’s no way everyone raving about minelabs products could be crazy. I used my TDI last night on a trashy beach and remembered why I want a discriminating machine. Im going to keep the equinox 800 for now but i did preorder a Manticore hoping for more depth and better vdi stability.

Thanks a lot Mark for the video i'am new to the MANTICORE AND THAT IS THE MOST INFORMATIVE VIDEO ON THE Manticore I've seen yet.Ive only hunted with it so far a couple times but i'am learning. Those creeks in your video looks like you could just walk down them picking nuggets up right off the ground.Iam not far from your area i'am down here in Modesto. Thanks again Mark keep up the good work.
  • @thex5160
You’re awesome!! Thank you so much for your videos, excellent content 💯💰
  • There is no need to continually apologize for environmental sounds...believe it or not, some people find the sound of your river, or the sound of waves at the shoreline to be comforting. (No need to apologize for aircraft either...you have no control over these phenomenon, therefore you have nothing to apologize for.) Your videos while being very helpful, informative and educational, they are very much soul food for us that are not able to get out...now, back to the vid!!
  • @DirtBandit
Hey, my buddy Ed Winslow mentioned you. I saw one of your videos a few days before but I remembered he said he sent you a buckle from the 1800s. Great channel!
  • @joncolcord6047
Informative, but why no explanation of the Prospecting audio? I accidentally had it set this way for a long period and decided that I loved it (in ATHC), so I still use it. Also, I don’t quite understand the turning up of threshold or why I would want to hear that. Nobody has effectively explained this to me yet. I already listen to a lot of iron (horseshoe is always on for me), but I turn my ferrous volume down nice and low so that it isn’t bothersome to me. I must be about 500 hours on this machine now. Found some great stuff too! (1794 Liberty Cap in beautiful shape is my top so far!). Keep the videos coming!
