"Leaders must educate" -- that's a great point and even more important at this moment.
-
His idea about educating the public about the impact of global trade on a micro level is brilliant
-
Online version was more complete than broadcast. Thank you for posting this.
-
"the world will not ignore us because we choose to ignore the world" great point.

Sec. Gates is a pro diplomat. His answers are on point except for the question of voting for Trump or Biden. All citizens who cares for USA democracy should and must be vocal NOT to vote for Trump.....who is simply NOT deserving of any public office. Didnt he , Mr. Gates , understand the consequences of Trumps 2nd term - if ever . Just say NO to Trump. Diplomacy is needed , yes but for Trump 2 nd term, explicit NO is a MUST. ...thats education for MAGA voters.

The main problem in the U.S. right now is that we give legitimacy to the inexperienced and unqualified. People in leadership positions need to have a proven track record.
-
Teach people a little history.
-
Thank you having an intelligent credible guest on. More of this please.
-
Good interview. Questions are good and the interviewer allows the guest to answer the questions without interruption.
-
A brilliant and credible American Patriot. He is so honest and to the point. I love...."But that's the old CIA guy" statement.
-
Refreshing to hear an objective interview.
-
It’s nice to see CBS doing actual journalism in their interviews and otherwise rather than it’s most common lately; activist journalism.
-
An example of true journalism.. simply ask compelling questions and get meaningful answers, no hype, no spin, no yelling…. We don’t see this on ANY cable news channel, none.
-
Mr Gates hits the nail on the head by advising the slick, opportunistic J.D. Vance that: “some additional information, briefings, and information may be required“.🎯
-
Intelligent questions, thoughtful responses. Oh that this should be the norm and not the exception.
-
I’ve been conversing with someone in the “comments” on The Dispatch, and he recommended this. I’m really impressed. This is my idea of leadership.
-
Former Secretary Gates has so much wisdom and experience, too bad he is not still serving in government.

0:40 Agreed, the people must be informed by leadership 👍

Time well spent. More like this please. :hand-purple-blue-peace:

Mr. Gates has served his country well BUT, though he is clearly not supportive of Donald Trump, he cannot bring himself to suggest directly not to vote for him. It would be a service to their country if he and other credible Republicans would reveal their concerns regarding another Trump presidency. Choosing loyalty to a flawed person over the best interests of the country is a betrayal of their oaths to support the country.
