I love these lines "Fitness is a steady and prolonged approach. Embrace balance not extreme".

An obese friend of mine a hardcore glutton went to a dietitian to shed off some pounds. She explained his diet plan and gave a chart stating that breakfast one boiled egg,. at lunch some salads and for dinner an apple. Finally our guy asked, Dr. These items to be eaten before or after the meals? ☺️😊
  • That's the golden line, "our generation need instant results and anything that is insta approved "

A big problem in America is that everywhere has air conditioning. No body sweats anymore but sweating is your body’s natural way of removing toxins. The slight uncomfortable feeling of heat and everyone blasts A/C. But what’s annoying is that modern housing is built to require AC - old homes pre-AC were built to allow air flow, high ceilings to let heat rises, and general ways to make things comfortable. You don’t have to go on extreme diet if your body is always working in the summer to cool itself down and you don’t overeat. It’s not the only way by any means but America uses more electric for just A/C than Africa uses electric for the ENTIRE continent. The modern worlds sedentary, 24/7 comfortable, everything in an instant lifestyle is a huge problem for our health.

Our Grandfather lived long lives because they were living simple life and Eat Natural foods. They did not had such diet plans. They did not had pressure to look good on Insta or FB. They were happy of what they are and they were thankful for what they had.

I ended up in the hospital after 1 month of the Keto diet. Extreme heart palpitations. Some people’s bodies don’t react well to extreme diet changes. The best lifestyle change I made was a balanced diet without processed foods and weight training. No fasts needed. Lost 1-2 pounds of fat a week.
  • One of the main reasons for opting for such extreme diets is because of our social medias which manipulates us into thinking everyone to look like Barbie if we can put in some extra efforts . I m a woman who's being body shamed even by her own family. I did extreme dieting during my early college days, did lose kilos but ended up fainting on my way to sit for semester..That day I realised I was punishing my body only to be accepted by my peers. I have now learnt to stand up for myself and have become quite vocal to anyone family or "wellwisher" trying to advise me on my body. So people in my opinion should choose health not only for body but for your Mind too..thank you palki ma'am for spreading awareness 🙏🏼💜

You are so right, Palki. Most eating disorders start with a diet; the more people diet, the more likely they are to binge. And the more they binge, the more weight they may gain which puts more pressure to diet, repeating the cycle. Your analysis is on the money. Kudos.
  • May this report serve as an eye opener especially those of my age that continue to perform this "extreme" fitness diet. Nothing can beat a healthy lifestyle and free from stress. More power Gravitas team!

My Indian doctor whom I admired he was a vegetarian... very trimmed, happy 😊 and play tennis 🎾 everyday. He was young at 67 years old ...had a massive cardiac arrest ... I just spoke to him a night before calling him for our oncology patient pain management. Our entire Healthcare staff were shocked and very sad 😥. No one really understand what's going on inside our body ... My neighbor is an old man 93 years old happy 😊 smoking 🚬a pack a day like a chimney and drinking bourbon every night... still alive and saying greetings me daily 😀😃😀 ... I just don't know what to believe... I think we just have to live life to the fullest and strive to be content and enjoy life 😃😀😃... we are all gonna passed one day... no one escape here alive 😆
  • I don't know the technicalities of journalism but the way she articulates the subject is examplary. 👏
  • @Mephisto_D_Munyo
I don’t care what I look like so I eat when I’m hungry, that’s my motto in life.
  • @kati4521
Man this was a much needed content. I try to do all these diets but fail within 1-3 days. Then be frustrated for no having control. But looks like, it's enough being myself.
  • @issahawal3230
I love this reporter.. Everything explain in details and so clear with no faking..Thank you
  • @pearls1626
Palki Sharma, thanks 🙏 You explained it better than a dietitian. The greatest journalist of our time.

I am 85 and in excellent health. No special diet except I take a teaspoon of Cod Liver Oil every morning with a juice tracer. ( Whatever tastes good). Not big on lunch and dinner is ............whatever. Not a lot of meat in my diet. Never smoked and no alcohol. I do exercise but moderately. I weigh 174#. I have no joint pain. I have had high BP and take medicine for that. ........ I am pretty boring!!! Suggestion; Watch your diet and weight. The greatest health a man can have is piece of mind. ( added 3/ 2022 :The greatest wealth a man can have is good health.)
  • @sanidhyashivhare
I believe I fit into this model just appropriately. I get scared at times looking at my lifestyle compared to others, but I always try to balance with extreme diets or foods to compensate. Just starting the video, hoping for the best.
  • @Nitingms
"Smoking like a chimney" that's hilariously true. They don't quit their addictions but go extreme on diet.
