Hiiii!! I wanted to do a little update on where I am at and share with you my hopes for the coming year. 2022 was ruff and I am so grateful to everyone who is still here watching these videos. I can't express how thankful I am and how much having this little community of people online means to me. Getting to hear where you are at, thoughts you have had and things you are working through in the comments really makes creating these videos worth doing and something I look forward to sharing. I want to be able to be here more and get to know those who are interested more closely. I would love to hear how you are doing in the comments and if you would be interested in possible Zoom check ins or chats once in awhile. If your not a commenting person I also appreciate you being here as well and I am just glad that these videos can be helpful, inspiring or interesting in someway for you. I am optimistic and really willing to put my best foot forward for 2023. I hope that we can support each other with our No Buy / Low Buy / saving challenges and all the different efforts to develop ourselves in whatever way we see fit. I have some coping mechanisms that I would like to transform into really showing up to do the things I want to and be the person I know I can be if I make the effort to kick my will into gear. Thank you so much for being here and watching these videos. :) :) Warmly and ever so grateful NeliaRose :)

Oh and about posting inconsistently, I see so many others I watch on YouTube facing this pressure and I just wanted to say that I'm excited whenever you upload and also see you as a whole person who has a whole, complex life outside of the time you appear on my screen! I think I found your channel really early on and it's been a joy to be here over the years.
  • Yess one of my goals for this year is 'create more, consume less' and I relate so much to what you said.

I’m always so happy to see another upload from you. Sounds like this has been a really challenging year. I hope this next year is full of good things for you!

Wow I have been thinking about this for a while now too and you put it in words so nicely! I feel like ive been consuming too much of other peoples lifes as well and watching what theyre doing instead of just living for myself and doing all those things like going on walks, sports, preparing nice meals, and other hobbies crafts! Big goal of mine too in 2023

I think the zoom idea is really nice! I can definitely imagine the pros and cons in living in a community like you have. It can be really nurturing to have a built in social system but at the same time be insular. So it makes a lot of sense to me that it's time for a break and to see who you are in a different environment. And I really relate to wanting to do work that helps people. I work in the mental health field and I feel like it's my calling but it's also a really hard field so I'm accepting that I probably won't do it forever, and that it's okay to not make my calling my job. My 2023 is really exciting. I was able to get top surgery on January 6 and now it feels like the world is my oyster. I have this list of things I felt i could do after surgery, and now I get to explore all those things on my list all year long.

Would enjoy being part of the zoom chat! Always good to connect with people with similar values. So good to see you back:)

I would also enjoy the zoom chats. It would be nice to have check-ins for my low buy year. I appreciate your no buy videos and I am happy to see you posting again. ❤

I love your videos and find them extremely helpful and inspiring! The zoom calls sound so fun! I also understand and agree with your feelings regarding living your life and not consuming others lives. I have been embroidering and crocheting in the new year to kind of find an activity that brings me back down to earth and back into my own body. It gives me a creative outlet that is affordable and satisfying. I do hope that you continue to do the project pan videos! I appreciate you and you’re unique perspective on the world!

I say YES to the ZOOM idea! I would love to speak about financial and mental benefits of doing a low buy challenge ☺

I also struggle a lot with motivation. Sometimes I can only motivate myself to go out when I can purchase something (e.g. a coffee, a pen, a cheap lipstick). Numbing myself with media is also a big struggle. I'm happy you are addressing this. Maybe it also got worse because of Covid. I really have to do a no-buy-challenge again. And I appreciate your insights a lot. Thank you! Greetings from Leipzig, Germany. Maybe you visit the city sometime:)
  • Listening to your thoughts was so inspiring to me! I will relisten again soon. I am German and would love to help you learn German. Maybe with the idea you brought up about doing Zooms. I love hearing your perspectives and thoughts. Maybe we can actually make that happen. Lots of love and thank you so much for sharing.

I think the zoom idea would be very fun! I am not doing a no buy year this year, but I'm working with a limited personal budget and it would be lovely chatting with likeminded people
  • @cathealey4648
I hope you don't feel any pressure to post! Live your life, first and foremost! Honestly, I'm not exactly doing a low-biy challenge. I have a complicated relationship with spending money, and a really low income rn. BUT I absolutely love your reset videos. They never fail to inspire me
  • I just want to say that some of your views on motivation resonate so much with me and i take it as a sign, watching the video while waiting for a bus to move to Slovenia for the next three months. So if you feel like dropping there let me know

I love this idea! I’m not doing a no buy but you really made me rethink my lifestyle 😊

Zoom meeting is very great idea, and it would be nice if it is a small group meeting (e.g.5 people) that is done monthly!

I would love a buddy system, it can be hard to be on a self improvement journey when other people might be less interested in it, because they have their own lives. If a friend doesn't want to join me on a run, they are still a nice friend, but having a community built around that, that is small, would be incredible.

I LOOOOVE YOUR VIDEOS! I would enjoy the Zoom offer, do it pleaseee!! :D

It’s so so lovely to see you!! For 2023 I am doing a no buy/ low buy specifically with books and Starbucks because it’s my go to for distracting myself. So my hope is to read the books I currently have and also make my coffee from home. I really want to focus on my health ( I have chronic migraines so I'm planning on going to a chiropractor and more doctors) and also I really felt like I love my life too much for money and living for the next pay check etc. so im both excited and terrified of challenging myself to sorta detox from that cycle. Also I think zoom would be lovely! It’s nice to have people who are on their own no buy/ low buy journey being able to share. I’m super excited for you and your studies as well! One of my dreams is to move abroad and I’m excited to take 2023 to start planning my trip
