EGO BATTERY POWERED PRESSURE WASHER - Full Test and Review!

Published 2024-01-30
Ego is known for making some the highest quality and best performing battery powered outdoor power equipment. Their Blowers are widely known for amazing performance and when I saw that they were releasing a battery powered pressure washer, I was was very excited to get my hands on it. I had seen a few videos on this unit but I waited till it was available and purchased it from Lowes so I could get a real feel for the production model and give you my honest opinion on this unit. I test the performance with each nozzle and at each power setting. I also test the actual run time and make some recommendations to optimize this unit for washing cars... ENJOY!!!

Great review. Got mine a week or so ago and did my first wash with it the other day and its performance was OUTSTANDING. In short, if you are looking at a new pressure washer for your car or anything that will require a pressure washer this is IT. Thank you for letting me know about the 3.0 orifice as well. Will be getting one of the OG Mosmatic Nozzle with a 40-degree.

This EGO pressure washer is a BEAST! Great video Josh! Thanks
  • @mrwilly41
Good job on the reviews, you really covered all the important parts well!đź‘Ť

The kit for ~$800 seems like a pretty good deal considering the 6ah batteries are listed for $350 each, an even sweeter deal for those who already have EGO tools that use those batteries.

The EGO pressure washer is a perfect unit for those like myself who live in a rental community and either don't have access to running water or proper power. My detailing garage is about 50 feet away from my washpad and have setup a cart using a Worx Hydroshot the last two years but it has limitations. For one the hose is short and very stiff because because of the molded power cord from trigger to the motor plus the performance is lack luster but gets the job done. I'm less than two weeks away from ordering this for a major upgrade with the EGO!

Awesome review, and the fact you don't need a pressurized water source is gold.
  • @Jeffro422
My go to pressure washer guy! Thanks for reviewing. Looks like a beast.
  • Great testing something I would love to have but never could afford it I do have the Worx 600psi hand held which I like having for things I can't get my pressure washer to great video Josh
  • @IronGoldReaper
As always, great job and sincere thanks for posting review videos. I was wondering if you have ever heard of hydro silex or considered doing any tests with their products?

That’s amazing!! What a cool looking unit built tough!! 💪
  • @toddbigler1374
Great review, since I already have the EGO snow blower with two batteries I'm going to buy this one as a tool only. for hundreds less. Thanks!
  • @JimboHutch
Just bought the 2700 PSI Greenworks last year and this would have been great with my "EGO Ecosystem" of batteries. Thanks for the video and unfortunate good news lol Too bad they didn't bring this out last year. Not having the worry about one other cable to drag around sounds awesome, especially if you already own a leaf blower, mower or snowblower.
  • @nwallis80
Thanks for testing this. As an owner of several Ego yard tools, I’ve been wanting them to make a pressure washer for years. This will be more reasonable for people like me who already have batteries and chargers and buy the tool only.
  • @littleeddie133
I have EGO, mower, string and hedge trimmer, blower. Great products my only concern in repairs. My daughters quit in the middle of summer I had to take it 50 miles out of town to get it repaired and it took two months to get it fixed!
  • that ryobi unit is on sale for 149.00 with 2 6ah batteries, just picked mine up this week. just for those curious and happen to see my comment. was 143 out the door w military discount
  • Good build quality, 5A batteries really good, no problem Had this item just over 1 week, used it to clean several cars, the batteries have not needed recharging. Fantastic build quality, I would recommend this; I work as a professional car valet and I need something reliable and effective. Early days but absolutely brilliant so far. You should buy the right tool for the job. If you're cleaning a huge area of drive or a really lengthy job, don't buy a cordless! This is fantastic if used for the correct work and is a great tool.

I’ve got the Ego mower, blower, trimmer and hedge cutter and love them. I have 2 batteries to run them and it works fine. For a pressure washer I don’t see the value in battery power, especially the high price and extra batteries. For me a corded electric pressure is fine and much less expensive.
