The Traveling Wilburys were a British-American supergroup consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. Following Orbison's death in December 1988, the Wilburys released a second album, which they titled Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3, in 1990.

"Handle with Care" is a song by the British-American supergroup the Traveling Wilburys. It was released in October 1988 as their debut single and as the opening track of their album Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1. The song was the first recording made by the group, although it was originally intended as a bonus track on a European single by George Harrison.

* "Nelson Wilbury" ā€“ George Harrison
* "Otis Wilbury" ā€“ Jeff Lynne
* "Lefty Wilbury" ā€“ Roy Orbison
* "Charlie T. Wilbury, Jr." ā€“ Tom Petty
* "Lucky Wilbury" ā€“ Bob Dylan

ā€œHandle with Care" was the Wilburys' most successful single.

  • It's funny that you mention Elvis. A reporter once asked Elvis what it was like to have the greatest voice in music. Elvis replied,"You need to ask that question to Roy Orbison"

The Travelilng Wilburys is what you get when great talents leave their egos at the door.

Actually George got everybody together because he needed a song to be on the B-side of his latest single. But when people at the record company heard the song they said it's to good to simply be a flipside, it should be it's own hit single. So they decided to do a whole album together. Fortunately for us, the fans, they did.
  • @zyffyr
Every one of their songs had that feeling of a bunch of friends just having a blast making music with each other.
  • @bluerev
George would have been 80 this month. Forever in our hearts!ā™„

This is how you do a supergroup. Everyone shines in all the songs.
  • @SausageFingers73
Got to give a shout out for Jim Keltner on drums, such a great drummer, has played with everyone who's anyone. Does just what's needed for the song, never too showy, just class.

The Greatest rock super group ever. And yes, they were just doing it for the music, for the fun of collaborating on writing good songs and playing together. Their most brilliant move was including Roy Orbison.
  • @RadCenter
You will hear George's wonderful voice showcased in the Beatles tunes "Here Comes the Sun," "Something," and "For You Blue," among others. All four of the Beatles had solid rock 'n' roll voices.
  • @gregthomas1346
The greatest assembling of talent ever ,roy was adored by the others and in another video they have a chair gently rocking away with Roy's guitar sat upon it , beautiful tribute
  • Roy Orbisonā€™s ā€œYou Got Itā€ is another gem that was written by Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne
  • @OldGreg8647
Gotta love the Wilburys, just five good friends that also happened to love making music
  • @chris00nj
With 4 others singing, you can really hear how wonderful Roy's voice is
  • @dannyboy366
Harrison had many solo hits such as My Sweet Lord, Bangla Desh, Blow Away From, Got My Mind Set On You, when we was fab, Isn't It A Pity, Give Me Love, etc RIP Roy, George, Tom
  • @manna6618
Roy was the GOAT... what a man, what a tragic life. X
  • They were indeed great friends, and George Harrison made sure the friendship didn't suffer during the creative process.

Hi Beth! Enjoyed your reaction and comments! Not sure if you're aware, but George Harrison was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. His fellow Traveling Wilburys bandmates Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne inducted him. His widow, Olivia and there only son, Dhani accepted the award. Then Petty, Lynne, Dhani, Steve Winwood and Prince performed George's song While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Would love to see you react to this amazing performance. It is just remarkable! Thanks!

You will never see todayā€™s singers get along as well as The Traveling Wilburys did back then during the late 80ā€™s and early 90ā€™s
  • @donaldbutcher1260
The Wilbury's were a family band, what a great family to be a part of!
  • @erickent3557
I had to experience a few decades of life before I realized, but, wow when Roy comes in... in just three words, his "tired" is so incredible and evocative and unique....
