Congress is considering banning TikTok, the Chinese-owned social media app that millions of Americans use daily. One of the main reasons for the ban in both India and the U.S. stems from TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance.

Use the right map of India! USA should have banned it long ago. Now it has become a habit that is hard to break.

I've said it before and I will say it again: I'm fine with us banning tiktok or forcing it to come to US soil, with a single caveat. We need to address privacy violations of apps that are US based too. Meta selling data that ends up in the hands of foreign governments is still happening, and is a much bigger risk than tiktok is. It's kinda gross to be obsessed with the chinese company but not say anything about our own.

Its pathetic that all these people defending and protesting against the banning of TikTok will come together on a useless app but stay quiet on other real problems that affects the country as a whole.

WSJ know How To attract Indian Audience 😂😂😂
  • It is only happened in India because the public opinion allows it for the issue of galwan valley incident where our soldiers are killed and Modi govt use it against Chinese apps ban at a time 100 apps including TikTok. It is what a skilled govt do and people unity on the issue cause the app ban.
  • the reason indian government didn't face much backlash on the ban of tiktok is because the app was overloaded with cringe and people(especially youtubers) started a cold war against tiktok because of all the cinge in the app. Alot of people loved tiktok at the same time alot of people (also parents) hated tiktok. And also because chinese-indian border issues where indian soliders were martyred.
