  • It's not stupid to spend on housing.. the place you live is the most important thing.

Awww. Dida getting adopted must be bittersweet for you!

30 seems like such a older age when you're in your 20's 😂 I definitely thought it was. I will say as an older millennial we have always cared about taking time off and using every drop of PTO LOL. I think younger millennials think we're super old but we are still in our late 30's up to 41 now. You'll see once you get here. You speak as if you're on the 8 ball but you are doing great! Better than most people with debt/savings. I was still partying in my late 20's and wish I had put more thought/ invested more into retirement now that I'm pushing 40. Looking forward to see you grow!
  • Great video 👏🏼💛 love seeing the breakdown Leila. You are doing at great job!
  • I am impressed and touched that you and your sister foster 🐕 🐕🐕. That shows a compassion and caring that is characteristic of special people.

Hi Leila! I totally get your feeling about the house. I too live alone and have a similar rent/bills (NYC) and it might be a little high considering the debt I have but i am so content and peaceful at my apartment, nothing beats having a peaceful place to exist and to regroup when needed. Enjoy it! you're working hard and you deserve to have nice things 🤗
  • @EmsFitVenture
Don’t forget. Put yourself first! I think you technically donated more in time with Ditta and that means more than money in her life.
  • If you still live in the area ,you mentioned on the CNBC interview, the rental rate you stated is considered reasonable in that area. The area is very walkable with shopping and restaurants near by. Enjoy yourself. Save the suburbs for when you're my age 🤣🤣😊
  • @MsKrankshaft
I think it's a great breakdown and quite reflective of real life! If you were living in Ireland, you'd be paying 40-50% of your income on housing and around 65-80% if you're a student lucky enough to have a scholarship. So 30% is really good!
  • @kmque3166
Thx for transparency Leila! Stop over explaining dog cost if annoying. 20-30% of income on rent is good still. Have u ever thought of getting a roommate? u cut debt faster and invest more, but understand if peace of mind is preferred.

How do you calculate your spend in each category? Do you look at your transactions and add everything up or use an app like Mint? Sorry if you’ve covered this
