Professional painters can appreciate how effective this actually was... I professionally painted for years and around several great painters and can appreciate the very inexpensive results here and the ease involved...thumbs up on this one for sure!

2k clear please. For those of us looking to have a longer lasting coat. I think warming the cans prior to laying a cost down will help with reducing the orange peel effect. The prep is obviously the biggest factor in getting a decent job with spray cans. It will. Always come down to time spent before and after with the rattle can job. But you can achieve a good paint job. The 2k clear will help it last, but again you're going to have to put the work in to make it smooth and presentable. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together.
  • Thanks for taking the time to show us about this paint ! The local body shop wanted 9 thousand to paint my 4 door 86 Cutlass, wow! I'm 67 years old and remember how it was like everything else....My plans are flat black Turbo spray, matte finish should be more forgiving...excellent video, just like your my neighbor walk down the block and showing me in person. Subscribed ......!

I can remember seeing factory paint jobs from late 50's to early 60's that didn't look any better then what you've done here!!

Thank you for not rushing through. We need to hear about taping and the right type of materials. When I get to this point I want to try this type of paint job.

Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks with us! This gives me a lot of ideas for some paint jobs I see in my future.
  • Super nice coming out of a paint can!!! I am going out to by can of this stuff for my next project. Thanks for showing me this product, and explaining it...

That was funny, I always say fungus amongus 😂. Great video and I've watched a couple with this can and I just cannot believe how wide that spray pattern is and how fast it covers. They are definitely onto something especially for people on a budget and want to save a few bucks and get a job done quicker.

It would be cool if you did one side like this with a cut and buff then the other bedside one coat with 2k clear. Then do monthly reviews until you build the truck. Would make a great comparison.

Thank you for sharing. I want to learn to paint so bad. I'm a Disabled Vet. and I would really love to be able to supplement my (embarrassingly low income LOL) by painting I have been into cars since I was a teen and here I am now at 52 years old and still have a genuine interest in cars and racing Ive built drag cars and raced them My disability will not affect my ability to do the job I hope The only way to know for sure is to just try. I'm sure I would be much slower than most people but I don't see that as a bad thing. I mean to be able to step back and look at your project and know that I took this car from basically a piece of crap to something you can really be proud of. I mean the satisfaction you must feel from a job well done is a feeling I have not felt in a very long time. Again Thank you for sharing your gift with us
  • I think this is a pretty good paint job, especially since it was done in an outdoor backyard.

Great tips as always, man. Love the channel. Turbo cans are great. If Rusto ever gets them to spray as finely as regular cans, then they'll really be a game changer. Also, I'm glad you gave the tips about spraying rattle cans and going heavier. My stuff would come out dusty and streaky when I did light coats. Gotta be like a graffiti artist and coat it fully, runs be damned. Be well.
  • @tammiroy0
Well I'm glad you tested it so therefore I will know to try to make one good passing without running the paint because if I try to make a second passing it's going to Orange Peel like crazy thank you for your video and your info do appreciate it 👍
  • @martinbowers852
that was a lot of work to show us how to do that, thank you for that

That's pretty cool he welded a Sawzall blade to that sheet metal years ago I took a Sawzall blade drilled 2 holes in it screwed it to aluminum drink / bottle holder intended for a bicycle. Then used a hose clamp with the plastic wing nut on it to tightin it on the can so it don't go flying as soon as you hit the button on the saw but be prepared for your arms to itch an tingle after using it cause it will shake your blood around in them veins of yours 😆
