I am from MELAKA, Malaysia. Since 15th century China already trade With Melaka. They never conquered us, only trade. BUT the west Portuguese, English and Dutch came with cannons to conquer us and said we belong to them. They each stayed for years.

This is so embarrassing for US Academia if this is the level of their so call “China experts”.
  • My great respect to Prof. Kishore. This guy Orville is not worth on this stage of Asia Society.
  • @lvjinbin28
Americans talk about issues in China or around China, do you see Chinese talk about Black Lives Matter, Cuba, Mexico?
  • @yanmuikam6160
Hi Mr. Orville you are very wrong about Singaporeans . Many of us Singaporeans feel that USA is a bully and love to " dip it's fingers into everyone's pie" so to speak. We want to trade and lead a peaceful life and not impose our wills on others . Please mind your business and may GOD bless you !

Indonesians here, the majority of Indonesians are of the view that any country that becomes a superpower country for Indonesian has no problem, as long as the country is fair and does not create chaos, unfortunately the USA does the opposite.
  • @2annec97
There's only one country in the world that passes judgement on the internal political systems of another country - what an exceptional country....🤣🤣🤣Respect to Kishore!
  • @jasmineloi7345
As a Singaporean, I am so proud of my country and so proud of Kishore Mahbubani.

I live in SEA and I actually am rooting for China to win and be equal to USA. USA should not be the making the decision for the world and for us any more. If required, USA should be allowed to fade... I am actually not comfortable with USA... In fact I had never comprehend why gun control is so difficult when tiktok ban can move so fast.....Strict gun control saves lives..their priorities baffles me and I cannot trust a superpower who cannot seems to figure out what is important

My idol Mr Kishore Mahbubani! Talking sense, logical, based on historic facts, fair analysis and tactful. Singapore is proud to have such a leader ❤

Orville' couldn't let go of the American exceptionalism. He was naïve on world politics thinking that America means the world. Good on Kishore giving him a lecture.
  • @bauyeung88
As a HKer, I’m very happy seeing my country China stands up to challenge the Win/Lose strategy initiated by US. Btw, I’m proud to be a Chinese.
  • @guyzer7006
I’m amazed …who has military bases surrounding China…who is the aggressor..Orville is so out of touch..anyway Kishore has this covered!!
  • @leahlee8291
If the US can only mind its own business and take care of its own people, rather than meddling in other countries’ affairs, the world will be a much better place.
  • @neilwolff7894
After this, I think Orville Schell doesn't want to share the same stage with Kishore Mahbubani anymore. 😂😂
  • @user-ly7rp4il7m
We are so proud of Kishore Mahbuhani not only as Singaporeans, but as world citizens.
  • @poohbaby233
I am from Taiwan. My view is can US stop interfering TW and China. Leave us alone!
  • @guytruth5598
Kisore is the most sane, just, righteous without bias, partial and an intelligent brave speaker of all times.
  • @atky7032
Thanks for inviting Orville to debate with Kishore. Orville's naive viewpoints have enabled Kishore to bring out the best of his wisdom when responding to ignorance. Answering questions calm and composed.  The best part: 'When 1.4 billion Chinese people decide to become prosperous, nothing can stop them.'
