This Indonesian chicken breed known as Ayam Cemani takes ‘dark’ into an entirely different realm. Their feathers are black. Their skin is black. Cut open an Ayam Cemani, and you’ll find black muscle anchored to black bones. Even their organs are black. And what do you get for all this unrelenting blackness?     We have a rooster called Bob He's a cross Ayam x amaricana He has black skin but gray feathers and a beard :) He's babies can be gray or black Some have light skin some dark depending on the mom It's been very interesting having him and his youngsters in our barn yard mix We got him free because he was a crossed rooster

    Have you guys made a video about hedemora? I’m looking into cold hardy foragers, want ones that brood and roost in trees. Most that fit the bill are too small to be a meat bird. If I have to make a breed for this I think I’m starting with hedemora.

    I think you need more selective breed. some of roosters little bit red. I mean the quality is not too good. sometimes their chicks are brown but being black over some months
