The mighty Quo live in 1970 on a TV show called Doing Their Thing.

An early live clip of the band looking like a bunch of bad-asses. Spud in particular looks like he's ready to punch somebody - presumably Rossi for noodling away endlessly. Great stuff.

Couglan is fantastic. To keep that shuffle up that long takes some doing!
  • The lead guitar by Francis Rossi just brilliant so under rated is his guitar work, 👍🎸🇬🇧👍
  • I've got tinnitus and spondulytis from head banging to the Quo in my younger years but it was worth it.:face-green-smiling::person-turqouise-waving::face-green-smiling:

Almost 10 minutes playing a shuffle. That's gotta be some sort of a world drumming record. 🙂
  • @johnb7644
Couglan could do a great shuffle and keep it going the whole concert, what a drummer 🤘🤘

I was 14 and in secondary school when this was filmed.... I'm retired now, that shows how old this is. R.I.P. Rick & Allan, sorely missed.

For those who play guitar, bass or drums you know how hard it is to play at this pace! Johns drumming phenomenal . The endurance of his playing among his bandmates was outstanding. people in the crowd must of been on 714s, no reactions.
  • First band me and my mate ever saw. October 3rd, 1973, at Sheffield City Hall. My ears are still ringing. Reyt band.
  • Ah the memories... I spent hours doing air guitar to this tune when I was 17 Ma kellys greasy spoon great album
  • Kick ass performance by the lads. Ricks singing is so good here, and his crunchy rhythm tone has some balls, Johns really playing those drums, its hard to do that with that kind of intensity for nearly 10 minutes, awesome stuff, the early Quo is the real Quo, huge fan of 1970 to 79 era. Piledriver, Hello, Quo, On the Level, Blue for You and Live! are all solid and killer albums. R.i.p Rick Parfitt
  • That's how the pros are supposed to do it. The audience half past dead, but we gonna rock it out anyway!!🎵🎶🎸
