That's a great new law about squatters. They should have NO legal standing. All states should make that a law.

These owners also need to be held accountable when property sits empty too long. They creating problems and property devaluation with their empty eyesores.
  • It's about time something is done to remove the people who just take ov er someone's house. Also, repair for damages.

I live in a decent neighborhood, on a long block of about 15 houses. 4 of the houses belonged to elderly people who passed away and unproductive squatters moved in all of them within a year. But after a year, the police managed to run them and their drugs away.
  • Thats what happened too my son's. One was 9 thousand and the other son was in the thousands also. Sad 😔

About time, the sqaters should be charged with crimminal trespassing, damages to property, showing police fake documents. Minimum two years sentence in maximum security prison.

What do you do when someone is breaking in your house???? Fear for your life and take action.
  • Yeah but this does NOTHING when a squatter has a FAKE LEASE. They just go on RocketLawyer and type up a lease with the name of the property owner as the landlord, and they just give themselves a lease.
