I Spent 24 Hours In A Swedish Ice Hotel

HELLO FRIENDS!! i hope you enjoyed this trip to the Ice Hotel in Sweden (and also our extended hi-jinks trying to actually *get* to the Ice Hotel)!! Our small stint at the ice bar in vegas couldn’t have prepared us for the bone-chilling-yet-very-beautiful rooms that this hotel had to offer. what do you guys think? pretty **cool**, eh? would you go to a hotel made of ice?? and, where should we go next? ☃also - to add on to our disclaimer in the video - "lapland" is not a technically a shared region, it's a general region that spans across a few different countries! sorry for any confusion there!

First a capsule hotel, then an underwater hotel, now an ice hotel. You guys need to do an extreme hotel bingo card 😂

Its pretty common knowledge that the hotel gets re-built every year, but the funny bit to me is that they start building it 30 days before the hotel is set to open. Meaning that when you book your room, the hotel you're booking for doesn't even exist yet.

What gets me is that they rebuild the hotel every year. That's dedication

I’m sorry, but the “hey sweetie, I’m gonna have to borrow a glove to drink this” and safiya’s response of “left or right?” with a smile on her face was just so wholesome and pure. I just love them so much.

I love how wholesome their relationship is even amongst a stressful situation Tyler's like hey I need a glove and she's like left or right which one that's cute

Honestly I think I just enjoy watching Tyler and Safiya enjoying themselves at this point.

Safiya I just wanna say I'm so amazed by how calm and accepting you and Tyler were when the snow storm shifted your plans. Even though you had the places booked and itineraries planned (not cheap!), you 2 accepted the outcome, moved on, and still tried to make the new situation the best you could. I strive to have a mentality like yours one day!

Honestly, I'd be perfectly happy if you guys transitioned this into a travel channel. I love watching you two go on an adventures.

Fun fact: most sculptures are stored in a big freezer-like thing so they don't have to recarv everything year after year!😊

As another half-Dane, I just want to say that I totally chuckled when you said you’d only ever stared angrily at Sweden from Kronborg in Helsingør, because I literally did the exact same when I was there, haha. 😄 for context, Denmark and Sweden have a friendly rivalry with each other

I'm kind of surprised that the art ice rooms vs the regular ice rooms are only about an $80 difference. If I'm already forking over 700 dollars to stay here, I'd definitely go for one of the special ones.

It's a bummer the weather made you miss some of your activities, but as a Stockholm native it was a lot of fun seeing you guys gallivanting around the familiar streets. Peak moment seeing Tyler appreciate a kanelbulle, honorary Swede status right there :3 And of course always down for a bit of banter with our dear neighbours from the south, who definitely would fail with those cannons since we'd obviously send in the Moose brigade first and send em running in fear.
