Hello! We are back (for at least this one video)! Here is our experience at a capsule hotel in Tokyo, Japan last May! We slept in small pods and ate giant gyoza, it was a ~good time~.

A big thank you to the Bay Hotel in Ginza and to Amanda for helping us produce the video!

as a young female traveler, i wish these were more common! i feel super unsafe in a lot of hostels and, in some areas, traditional hotels are super unaffordable. a cheap yet semi-secluded option would be amazing!

i have watched this video like 19 times and it never gets boring

Would love this so much. I’m such an introvert, and love the privacy and enclosed and cozy space. Why don’t they have these everywhere?!?
  • @Alma-yi7mb
Imagine these pods but.. at the other end of it,,, theres a window and you can look out at japan

Safiya’s capsule would feel so claustrophobic to me, but the sideways way that Tyler’s capsule was looked extremely comfortable. The pods also looked bigger than I expected. Plus everybody loves the extra freebies.

My claustrophobia is screaming while I’m watching this 😂😂😂
  • @Minyadain
Safiya rofling about her Abercrombie & Fitch joke is the purest thing ever
  • @tippib2222
You know darned well we'd all watch 20 minutes of Safiya talking about peach water

things like these would only work in Japan not in the US. I feel like people are generally more respectful/clean lol

Edit: I say this as someone who uses a lot of public transportation all over the US. I’m not being “anti American” or whatever you snowflakes want to call me in the comments. I’m just being real.
  • Immediately after Safi said that the pod was “like a morgue bod” literally the first thought that came into my head was “what if the pods were previously part of a morgue” and then I was like “they seem comfortable either way” XD

I wish they had capsule hotels in the US-I mean, a private place to sleep, a tv, wifi, showers, all for $35, that would enable me to take trips way more often!
  • They should use this idea (or a similar one) in hospitals for families who need to stay with someone.

Other people in the foot bath: *trying to relax*
Tyler and Safia: Talking very loudly into a camera right next to them
Other people in the foot bath: 👁 👄 👁

Okay i started watching her again after a while of stopping and can we just talk about the fact that this woman doesn't age
  • @Saladness
All these people talking about claustrophobia and anxiety. I’m out here would sleep every night in these capsules instead of my big bed. I feel really comfy in small and cozy spaces

Plot twist - The foot bath was actually just a warm decorative pond
