HELLO FRIENDS!! Welcome to the final installment of our Nordic/Scandinavian trip - the Glass Igloos in Finland! So far on our trip, we have taken a communal hot bath at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, nearly cryogenically frozen ourselves at the ICEHOTEL in Sweden, and now we're on to Arctic Finland to stay in a glass igloo under the northern lights!

For years, I've been seeing the glass igloos in Finland on my instagram, tiktok - *and YouTube shorts* feeds - and I've always wanted to try them out. I've never seen the northern lights before, and I've also never stayed in a human-sized terrarium before, but I've always been intrigued by those see-through bubble tents - so we decided to go and try one out and see if we freeze our butts off! And while at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, home of the glass igloos, we also tried a bunch of arctic activities - like snowmobiling, reindeer sleigh rides, dog sledding, and traditional Finnish sauna-ing and ice bathing!!

What do you think?? Would you stay in a glass igloo?

HELLO FRIENDS!! welcome to the final installment of our Nordic/Scandinavian trip - the Glass Igloos in Finland! we've been seeing these bad boys all over the internet for years, and finally had the chance to try them out - as well as a bunch of arctic activities, including a very chilling ice bath session 🥶and a very bumpy dog sledding tour (foreshadowing)🐕what do you guys think? would you stay in a glass igloo? and where do you think we should we travel to next?? xoxo, saf

can confirm, sensation in my hiney has returned 🕺

Saf needs to do like a spooky trip visiting locations known for horror literature/movies or just haunted like the Stanley Hotel, Sleepy Hollow, Dracula's Castle, Paris catacombs, etc. Could be a fun travel/Halloween series.
  • Hearing Tyler say, "you got it sweetie," was so sweet and encouraging when they did the plunge pool.

Watching the dogs run and pull the sled was so darn cute, they looked so excited and happy to be running like "WE'RE DOIN THE THING GUYS LETS GO LETS GO RUN"

As a dogsled musher who has been racing for 8 years, I can assure you that even when the dogs know and trust you and know you’re a pro at dogsledding, the experience is STILL just hanging on for dear life 🤣

As a European it is so funny how impressed Safiya and Tyler are by the “uneventful” border crossing 😂

Why am I crying??? Those dogs and reindeer are just living their best lives. This makes me happy. So happy I'm bawling. Wow!! I love to see animals treated like they should be.

I’m so glad Saf mentioned the Sámi people because I just watched an amazing movie about them recently and it was very emotional. I’m part Indigenous Canadian myself and how similar it was to how things happened here with residential/day schools and everything was shocking. This is a very respectful and beautiful vlog as always!

I LOVED LOVED LOVED how the instructor introduced every single dog before your ride. Even letting you know who the dog leaders are. SOO cute

melissa saying “saf i might throw up” and saf immediately going “OK, excuse me can we stop?!” was so comforting for some reason, ik it’s the right thing to do but many ppl would go “really? just hold up a little” or be annoyed 😅

Safiya's gargling excitement noises about the Northern Lights is exactly how I'd feel!! Seeing that is something I'd lose my mind over. Also, the puppies were so precious. I just love this whole video.

You need to go to Hamanasi in Belize! It's an eco-friendly resort that has coastal rainforest. We stayed in a tree house in the jungle, went snorkeling along the Carribean reef, saw two different Mayan ruins sites, went to a chocolate farm and made our own chocolate bars! There is so much to see and do and it's such a neat experience!!!

They don't often use terms of endearment so hearing Tyler call Safiya sweetie just about melted me entirely.
  • @zitakovacs11
I love the fact that when Melissa said she's not well Saf immediately stopped the sled and switched places. 100% great human

Getting that sick and then having to go on a plane is one of my biggest fears and I feel for all of you so badly! That experience looked amazing though so I hope despite the sick end it was wonderful for everyone.

Still, as a Dutch person, it is hilarious to see you guys being so weirded out by there not being any border hassle in Europe. My country literally has a town that just has pieces of Belgium inside of it. Also, there is the "drielandenpunt", and there is just a rock you can walk around and you cross the borders to and from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. I also remember the first time I went to America and had to cross the border into Canada being astonished by the hassle. Edit: I see similar comments now, sorry

I love how you include some of the struggle parts of staying at these places. This is the type of travel content we all need.

As a Finn I always love when foreigners get to appreciate and explore our nature and culture :)

You guys should definitely do a train series next! Go to different countries and take overnight trains, that would be really cool
