  • Case manager ghosted you. Corporate didn't care about you. I'm happy you got a new 4Runner. If a carmaker did that to me I would consider elsewhere 😵‍💫🥶
  • The new Tundra is a wonderful peace of junk. I like your new replacement.

after toyota ruined the tacoma, i thought about going to the tundra. now they have bad issues as well. i think nissan is the answer.
  • @kwmulligan
Yep, me too. I picked up a used 21 4R myself due to this..I absolutely love it..Like you said, I'd rather pay at the pump then at the shop!

2021 was the last of the reliable Tundras.
  • @nkyryry
They just recalled 100,000 Tundras for potential metal shavings in the engine. That tells you that if you’re having issues this early… they’re not just going to magically stop. It’s going to get worse. No vehicle get LESS problems as it ages.

you are a smart guy . that 4runner will outlast any new turbo crap vehicle by 20 years.

I did 100% the same thing. I bought my dream truck.. the 2022 Tundra... and instantly I wad disappointed in the rattles.. the recalls and even my check engine light that came on on a road trip. 2 weeks ago I heard about engine failures. I took it in and traded it for a 2024 4 runner. Yes I miss the power and how the Tundra drove. But I instally noticed how much better quality the 4Runner was.
  • Gone 90s Toyota's golden years. I still have my 1999 Camry and after 25 years with 230k miles still running strong with all memories I have with this car.
  • @dbatesmu1990
I currently own a 2023 tundra platinum and have had zero issues. My truck was built 9/2023. I did an oil change at 1000 and five thousand miles just like I did with my 2022 pathfinder and my wife’s 2021 Honda passport. I have had no issues so far.
  • @TnVolFan
Thanks for sharing your story.....Sorry you had to go through all that.

You’re an intelligent and rational person, not to mention loyal to the brand. Shame on Toyota for treating you that way! Their customer svc, in the face of adversity w/ these Tundra issues, is deplorable! Best of luck w/ the 4-Runner, maybe the last of truly reliable Toyota SUV’s.
  • Lifelong Toyota customer here, always purchased new, and my 2023 4runner is the last Toyota I'll ever buy.
  • Congratulations and you knew forerunner I did reviews on these new generation tundra. I purchased one and today I saw it because it sound to me. It’s gonna be a bee headed for that recall.
  • @randy0170
Thank you for the video…had some of the same issues with my 2023 platinum Tundra,Including the hum at about 70 miles per hour. The day after the major engine recall was announced and that did it for me as well…I traded for the same 2024 TRD off road 4 runner in the underground. This is the Toyota quality that we all know and rely on.

“When it’s working, it’s a great truck”😂 On a serious note, sorry you have to go through all that.

I really like the Tundra 1794 Edition hybrid. Man, such a sweet ride. Interior is amazing, ride so smooth and so powerful. I was very impressed. I couldn't sign the papers. Just not sure to the outcome. Was assured that I will be covered with no issues. I don't want to deal with headaches. I have no energy for that. Going to lease a new Denali 5.3L and if all good with the Tundra, in 3 years, I am back into the Toyota dealer. I hope for Toyota that this will NOT become a major issues. That will be a shame.
  • I hear you my man I just purchased the same thing this past Wednesday
  • I think this is a turning point for Toyota. They've chosen profit over quality just like Detroit did in the 70s and look how that played out. It's concerning that the Japanese brands are choosing this path...so now I guess we just won't have reliable vehicles AT ALL anymore?
