We're Olivia and Nathan 👋🏽 Our first ever generator - The Predator 3500W Super Quiet Inverter 💥Unboxing, Start Up, Setup, Oil Change, Review | Is it Super Quiet?

In this video we share with you our process of following the Predator's "Set-Up" guide.
Unboxing it, starting it, breaking it in, changing the oil...and also answer one of Harbor Freight's most asked questions: is it in fact, SUPER QUIET?? Is it worth the price? How does the Predator 3500 compare to the Honda 300? Is it hard to do an oil change?

NOTE: the Predator Generator comes with a "Owner’s Manual & Safety Instructions" and with a "Set-Up" guide card. For the initial Set-Up process, we followed that card. That card does not have the Electric Starter Battery Connection instructions on it. So we missed that in this video. But we connected it after and it's all good.

We're new to the RV world - just purchased a used travel trailer and are touring the US for the next 12 months. We've spent weeks researching the best options for electricity, wifi, tools, products, and everything else people swear-by for the new RVer. 🤪 We considered solar but after more research it made sense for us to use a generator.

We needed something that could run our AC (3000W) and most importantly, be quiet enough for campsites...as well as fit inside our budget! This was our choice (and so far we are SO happy with how it's performing!) Are two final choices were the "Champion 3500-Watt Dual Fuel Inverter Portable Generator" and this "Predator 3500W Super Quiet Inverter" - we chose this one because it was cheaper by a few hundred dollars and we actually read more positive reviews about it.

Over the next year we will also be providing updates on how well it's operating and if there's any maintenance needed.

Thanks for watching! This was our first time ever buying/using a generator. NOTE: ELECTRIC STARTER - the Predator Generator comes with an "Owner’s Manual & Safety Instructions" booklet and with a "Set-Up" guide card (shown in the video). For the initial Set-Up process, we followed that card, as instructed by the Harbour Freight employee. That set-up card does not have the Electric Starter Battery Connection instructions on it (it's mentioned only in the manual). So we missed that in this video. But we connected it after and it's all good. (for any comments asking about the electric starter) We’ll give you an update in 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months on how this generator does! And if we missed anything please let us know. And don’t hesitate to hit us up in the comments if you have any other questions! 👍🏽

100% best Generater.Systems I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.

Perfect video! Thanks for including the mistakes. So many videos are posted by folks that are already knowledgeable. Watching yours helps everyone see common mistakes and learn. Again, perfect video!
  • Hey great start! Y’all reminded us of our grand youngens when they first started with their Predator generator! Keep everyone informed and don’t pay attention to smart remarks y’all are young couple an go enjoy life! With kind regards we are!
  • @panzerattack41
That was an awesome tutorial! I just bought the same generator at Harbor Freight today and this answered all my questions.
  • @Bjarka7
To get the push to start to work there is an access panel on the front of the generator. The battery comes out of the box disconnected, you will have to open the access panel and connect the terminals to the battery so you can use the push starter. Great video all around!
  • @nathanwatts9229
Great video. Hope the travels are going well. There is a door on the front that opens and has a battery inside it. You can connect the battery and the start button will then function. And you can pick up a “crush washer” for the oil drain plug at any auto parts/hardware store to help it from leaking... keep us posted!

  • @dougjohnson1199
I can't tell you how hard I laughed watching her hold the starter button down in total silence while she counted to 3. Great video. We bought one of these yesterday, and I'm just watching other peoples videos before I unbox ours. Thanks for posting.
  • Setting mine up now. One thing to keep in mind is that I've been told to keep a loose grip on the pull handle. Supposedly engines can yank it and break arms. I just use the ends of two fingers on lawnmowers
  • @deandralyn93
You guys are awesome! Cant wait to see your travels around the US
  • @bbird2137
Clever ways to show all the things that you shouldn’t do while trying to tell everyone what to do. Well done. Hard to pull off.
