Good Morning Sir, It is a very good time to have a generator since the hurricane and climate change cause many problems 👌👍🧐Yes Sir you said it very well Sir, An inverter generator is generator that inverts electricity in order to provide cleaner, safer power for your sensitive electronics or house hold electricity. It is also more compact, quiet and energy efficient than a traditional generator, but usually comes with a higher price ( if you are in Canada darn taxes too and ethanol ) and also ( quality does not come cheap !!! ). Most inverter have insolated sound proof panel all around. ( harder for doing maintenance but keep the dust off and protect it too !!! ). Yes Reading The Owner Manual Is Very Important 🧐👍Very quiet in deed ( nice demo !!! ) OUTSTANDING Video Sir and Have a blessed week and I can't wait to see your field testing your new generator 👍😇👌Your Generac Generator is a good one for sure. Cheers 👌😇👍🍻
  • I went to buy a second 5000. Both my local stores had pulled their display unit off the shelf. I noticed the 5000 had been deleted from HF website. I finally got in touch with customer service. There are a batch of these units that have propane issues. The issue is after 70 hours running on propane the electric starter quits working and the remote start quits working. The units will still start with pull rope. The serial numbers are 230615xxxxx thru 230628xxxxx. Harbor Freight will replace these units when new units become available . Estimated time is december or january .

Nice generator 👍🏻. I purchased a regular generator this spring, I went with a Firman 10,000 Dual Fuel for the house. If I would have lifted the generator out of the box like you did…I would have been on my back for a week 🥴🤣🤣🤣. Have a great Wednesday Case 👍🏻🙋🏼‍♂️🙂🇨🇦🇺🇸

That looks like a very good generator. It sounds like it is ideal for cleaner power for computers. Our power is very reliable over here and as much not many people have generators. Thanks for the review
  • @grammymae8481
Great video,. I cant believe how effortlessly you yanked it out of the box
  • Bought one this week, going to unbox it and fire it up for the first time here shortly (also in Mass). Be careful, don’t be running it in doors.

Good afternoon Case, looks like a great generator👍 I have the same generator as Luc. A Firman dual fuel 10,000. Sounds like we'll be using it this weekend. Thanks Case, I always enjoy your informative videos. Have a good one, Ben

I bought 2 of these last week they are great units especially for the price. Everyone knows inverter generators produce a clean sine wave required for electronic devices. But most do not appreciate that when they convert from AC to DC then back to AC the generator can increase the RPMs to any needed for that particular load, thus saving gas and lowering the noise. Non invertor gens are idle or full. In todays world where everything is electronic, inverter gens should be used the most and non invertor type used for construction tools, welders, etc.

hey, I figured I'd clear some things up as the generator manufacturers don't make this very clear - they make traditional open frame generators that are inverter generators, and they're loud, so inverter isn't by itself why a generator is quiet - the biggest two things that make a modern generator quiet: inverter ones specifically have control system in place that lets them slow down to idle to be more quiet when the load isn't high. (usually called eco mode) also, they're enclosed, and that keeps a lot of the noise inside - old generators had to spin at a specific rpm to generate the 60 hz output that US grid needs, and any fluctuation of the rpm can affect this. they did have some rudimentary voltage regulation to keep things somewhat consistent, but compared to a modern inverter generator, the output is a bit noisy and can cause issues with sensitive electronics - inverter is exactly what the name says. you've probably seen 120v inverters before, I imagine. the one you can connect to a car battery and they output 120v? people often use them to power air pumps to air up inflatable mattresses while camping and stuff like that. that's literally what they added to these generators. the benefit is the fact that they have a wide input range, but have a steady clean output. this allows it to slow the engine down to save fuel and lower noise when load is low, but spin up as load increases. if you did this with a non-inverter generator, your output would be all over the place and a lot of devices would have issues. - the inverter itself isn't directly why inverter generators can be more efficient. the engines are the same. the inverter allows them to run at different speeds, so letting it idle down in "eco mode" is what make them more efficient. otherwise the motor is identical to one in a traditional generator I think I covered it all. long story short, inverter just takes a wide range of voltage input and creates clean consistent output. this allows the engine to change speeds depending on load, and that helps with fuel efficiency and also with noise. the ones in an enclosed chassis are more quiet, but they make open frame inverter generators too that are loud like any other conventional generator hope that is helpful for anyone wondering the specifics

I was at a food truck and was so impressed by the predator and how quiet it was. I was always used to hearing generators so loud and obnoxious. But the predator 3500 and I guess 5000 we're just very quiet compared to those. I also have an eco flow 3500 battery backup. But I'm debating whether to get this one firman or the predator 5000.
  • @firewoodathome
This day and age, it's a good idea to have a backup power source. I have a 13k and a 7.5k genset for outages. Proper isolation from grid supply is also necessary.
  • @philipmail499
I have a generac 7500e. You suppose to run them monthly so the carb don't clog up and the you won't lose magnetism in the generator end. I also got a old onan aircooled diesel for backup

Bought a new predator 5000 inverter only ran my RV air conditioner it shuts off three times should I return it or it being new had to run cycle
  • @HenryMontgonery
Question I bought a new predator 5000 inverter for My RV it shut off three times only running air conditioner any idea or do I need to return it 1:35
  • Great video Case. Small engine guy I use doesn’t seem to like those inverter generators for some reason. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Any way. Good to have if you don’t have a generator and your out of power like I was for 10 days last year in hurricane Fiona. I now have a BE model generator. Dual fuel. 9000 watts on propane. Have not needed it since Fiona. But, hurricane Lee is coming this weekend. Soooo, I might need it. Hopefully not. I hooked it to my propane storage tank out my garage. Hopefully never put gasoline in it. I noticed when you were pouring the gasoline, that it looked like water, the same as ours does. Have a great day Case. Are you getting any of hurricane Lee ?
  • @dustinryan9671
If you don't put oil in this generator when setting up it will not start.
  • @Nygar1
If you have electronic equipment computers smart appliances you want a inverter generator. Do not buy a standard generator it can damage electronics. This is generator you want if you have electronics in your home. You just run your essential stuff not the entire house.
