I've compiled a reading list of my favourite history books via the Amazon influencer program. If you do choose to purchase any of these incredible sources of information then Amazon will send me a tiny fraction of the earnings (as long as you do it through the link) (this means more and better content in the future) I'll keep adding to and updating the list as time goes on:-

London is home to 9 million people not 20 million. Sorry about this - Forgot about my malfunctioning time portal. I was in 2060 when I made the vid Hey guys. Thanks for watching! I put a lot into this one. Been working on it for a year or so. Visited a huge amount of historical sites for it. Please like, subscribe and comment if you enjoyed it. 3 more Vikings videos coming this month. Watch my latest full length history documentary:- https://youtu.be/c3Hq6UaFQqk
  • I’m loving this channel. I’m from the US with an English grandmother who married a Danish sea merchant. I never got to meet either of them. These stories are fascinating ❤
  • Those ruins at 0:45 onwards are literally a minute's walk from where I work. Until recently I never knew they were there.
  • @Artur_M.
I haven't even finished the video yet, but it was already very interesting. For example, it was especially fascinating to learn that the old ruins of Londinium for long period just stood there completely abounded while a new Anglo-Saxon settlement developed next to them.

What a fantastic video. I expected it to be like 15mins and never looked at the time when I hit play. Super happy this was a longer than normal youtube video on history. Great stuff! Subed and belld.

Amazing, this will make my Saturday evening even better! Thank you HT for making these amazing videos!
  • @deanbuss1678
The contrast between old and new in this video is stunning ! If I were rich I could spend the rest of my life with studying these parts. This channel is a worthwhile compromise ! 👍 Thanks HT😁
  • This guy gets an A+++ for his narration because he always does a super job.
  • My dad in mother side grandparents blood line back 700 to 800 A.C Vikings Denmark 🇩🇰 and Sweden 🇸🇪 and Norway 🇳🇴.
  • @andrewskipper
Thank you Pete Kelly for these very informative and inspiring videos. Many of my ancestors were Danes and Normans who sojourned in England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales before coming to America in the colonial period. Your videos have opened my eyes to what their lives were like in the past. Thank you for your hard work and research!!!

20 years ago you would have had a TV show on the Discovery Channel, i use to watch that channel back then.(I'm trying to make a compliment! xd)
  • @paganbaby7777
I really have to compliment you on this one. Excellent work! Thank you.
  • @collybeans586
I love your channel. Especially the viking history.. Thank you!
  • @ryanaegis3544
When are they going to publish you on Curiosity Stream or Magellan, or History Channel, or National Geographic. You deserve it.
  • @Mikkel-Hansen
Thanks for another great and entertaining video! I was expecting a bit more on the concept (and history) of "Danelaw". Maybe you already covered this elsewhere? Anyways, you should be proud of introducing ancient history to so many people, so they may better understand their roots.
  • @tejjensen9402
Again first class work Pete and although I know a lot about history you added some extra knowledge. I'm probably not the only one who experienced it. I hope you once made something about Karl 10. Gustav's Russian War - 1656 - 1661 - and the life the soldiers - on both sides - were exposed to. Although I am Danish, I thought it was an exciting war. It did not change anything - besides hard times in Sweden.
  • The best documentary about mideavel Britain i have ever seen. All thumbs up👍👍👍 very interesting and informative. Greetongs from Germany✌😎
  • @Boric78
Great as usual. One day you will make a vid that mildly disappoints and I will be ready to tell you. Till then - keep it up. A lot of good history channels on youtube these days, but yours is the best.
  • @jeremyday9056
I love these videos so much man. This one in particular was so well narrated and detailed that it almost felt like I was right there sailing through history with Wulfstan. Amazing.
