The team in Norway making the Saga Oseberg is now making the Saga Gokstad in Tønsberg and Sandefjord. We have done several ships after the Saga Oseberg. We should be done in 3 - 4 years

THERE WERE NEVER EVER HORNS ON VIKINGHELMETS, IT'S A BRONCEAGE THING. Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
  • 31:22 That's interesting! I always was told they bent the sword of enemies they killed so they wouldn't be able to fight their enemies in the afterlife.
  • @9957nite
I would imagine the spear was more of a thrusting weapon if thats all you have throw it away and youre probably dead

How can you have a video on the Vikings and promote it by showing a Viking wearing a helmet with horns? Doesn't anyone look at the pictures before you post it ? I am just amazed at that.

  • @conorwaugh1365
How do you post a video, that we are to assume is historically accurate/ educational, with a thumbnail of a horned helmet on a Dane and call him a Viking? Was this made in an AI or something?
  • @kakashifuijin
A note to the editors Please stop pushing the horn helmet Vikings image Historically accurate Vikings are better and more appealing And it fits more with the channel imo 😊
  • @raysargent4055
It’s believed that Viking ships were almost as fast as the large ocean going racing yacht’s of today .
  • @H.J.U.49
Really good video except the thumbnail who shows a Viking with horns in his helmet, which is not correct. Stupid to use this sort of thing as click bait if a video is to appear to be serious! 🤔🤔🤔

Interesting that she mentions that many of the men fighting in William's Norman army were Franks, but she forgets to mention that his wife was from Flanders and that amny of the Franks she mentions are actually Flemish and not always French.
  • @MichaelEilers
How did they carry horses on the boats, or were those sourced once they landed?
  • @rikker6182
viking didnt have horns on the helmets -
  • The Vikings were sophisticated at a European level, just imagining that they existed at the same time as the Song dynasty existed, we already know that they were much less than what is said there
