Yes, Alberich is meant to be Jewish, as also seen by his musical motifs. This is also true of Mime - so you have anti-Wagnerians like Paul L. Rose claiming that Wagner was anti-Jewish (anti-Semitic) but what Rose does not see is that Loge, the god of fire, is also Jewish, since Alberich refers to him as "my kinsman". Rose & Co. never bring this up even if they are aware of it.
