I'm upgrading my tires soon and decided to compare my current 31's to my friends 33s on the same model Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0 with the same stock suspension. It was a very good comparison and i was surprised by both Jeeps and have come to a conclusion.. but you'll have to stick around to find out! Hope you enjoy the video!

Stock TJ is already a capable vehicle for conditions like these.
  • Nice I have both,33’s have a better stance , an aggressive look ,does well off road, must regear 31’s perform great ,my favorite for best all around tires
  • @MCGaar
I have a 4 inch lift with 33s on my TJ with big treads. Fairly smooth but I feel like I’m gonna tip around corners sometimes haha I can’t imagine 35s or 37s. I wouldn’t want to lose anymore daily ride quality. 33s or 31s seem perfect size 👌
  • @Phantasmos
Mije is. 02 w/ oem 15x8 on 31s. 5 speed 4.0 w/ D30/44 @ 3.73 oem. Good enuff for me. The Only thing that stops me from mods is $$. For my use & purpose, I can Not justify the expense. Horsepower was upgrade some, enuff for passing. Body lift 1 in for belly tuck. Modified fuel tank for 3 xtra gallons. Don't need lockers for trails... I have to drive it back home... A breakdown on the trail is expensive.... As Duly Noted... Pay 2 Play....

I got some 32s on my jeep and love them.
  • @robl6044
If you have 40.L 33" will be fine for me I run BFG K02 AT its a happy medium for me
  • Hey man! Been watching your channel for a while. Got a 2002 TJ myself. I’d say if you are looking at off-road capability upgrade the best you can do is lockers. I don’t know what axles you have but if you have a d44 and d30 lockers for sure, night and day difference.
  • @allanwagner4570
locking diffs BEFORE ANY OTHER UPGRADE!!!! then mess with the other stuff locking differentials will change the way you both look and the jeep you are driving trust me NOTHING compares to this upgrade wont need bigger tires with lockers
  • @nathanb6956
You can always change the gear ratio! Which will help you out with the bigger tires.
  • @Busta_liftz
Do you know what that squeaking is in 7:50 ? My Jeep does it too but idk what it is
  • Remember, anything 2wd gets you into, 4wd will get you out of, if your going slow.
  • @jonc2914
That my issue with jeeps.... you made fun of a Honda civic, but a civic would of even made it up that hill. Its completely flat with no obstacles lol
  • @johnmcwade222
FYI the “Pits” are private property owned by Lafarge. You can be charge for trespassing. Boundary Rd you were driving on to get there is fine because it’s a public road on a map.
