WEll, I BELIEVE THAT THE TJ'S WERE THE LAST REAL JEEPS EVER MADE BUT THAT'S MY OPINION. šŸŒš
  • You crazy kidsā€¦.gotta love your sense of freedom! Iā€™m 66ā€¦.original owner of a spec-ordered 97 TJ Sportā€¦150k+ on the clock. All my kids learned to drive stick in her. Now, retired, with some extra cashā€¦.with the Jeep still a favorite rideā€¦..seriously thinking about selling my ā€˜20 Tacoma and doing a complete restoration and conversion to a Brute (I always did like those pickups). I really enjoyed your video!

Back when I was a kid the Amazon guys would have had to order all their stuff from the J. C. Whitney catalog.
  • Just bought a stock 01 tj a few months ago. Got it for $1500. Had to put $2500 in it for repairs. Keeping it stock, just want something to cruise with the top off.

The awkward moment when you realize you're an Amazon TJ šŸ˜³
  • This is too funny. I've met a lot of Amazon owners....actually I have an EAG bumper on my LJ...dang I guess I am one now. šŸ˜‚

I guess I fall somewhere in the midrange, although with what Iā€™ve spent in mods I couldā€™ve bought another tj, even with doing all the work myself. Built as follows Metalcloak front/rear fenders Johnny joint shortarms/trackbars 4.5ā€ lift springs and sye Fox 2.0 resi shocks custom tuned Metalcloak bump stops Currie steering 4:56 gears with Dana 44/Dana 30 Cromolly rear shafts rcv front shafts Yukon grizzly lockers front/rear Artec Dana 30 truss with Johnny joints Weld in roll cage Front/rear bumpers and winch Aftermarket rear shock mounts Aftermarket front control arm/trackbar mounts 35ā€ cooper stt pros on 15ā€ Mickey Thompson wheels The build is always moving forward and Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll do a stretch, tons, and 40ā€™s at some point, but for now sheā€™s solid. Will crawl 95% of the trails here in az but will also float through the whoops at 50mph.
  • You forgot the Nostalgic TJ owner. The guy in his twenties that traded in his Beemer for a brand new '97 TJ as soon as they came out in 1996 (November of '96 to be exact) because he loved that they went back to round headlights, immediately drove it from Philly to Key West and drove the piss out of it for another ~11 years all over God's creation, had a family and had to upsize to a Suburban and then later got a Power Wagon to get back into wheeling but still haul everything including the kitchen sink, and then son got old enough to drive so he bought his son a 2005 LJ, which became his....I mean his son;s Jeep build. LOL, I have a Jeep build vicariously through my son. That's the Nostalgic TJ owner.
  • @JeepTJWheelin
You left out Jeep traditionalists like myself who despise 4 dr limos and actually know what a Jeep is. I built my TJ to adapt to my area, a modest build for beach and dune wheelin'. Nothing on it for show! And anyone who blocks out the 7 slot grill with angry bird eyes should be horsewhipped! These are not Jeepers, not by any stretch of the imagination. O|||||||O šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øOnly in a 2 DršŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø '41 - '06

I would say Iā€™m in between an Amazon buyer and a mid 2000s build. But it actually looks good.
  • @MrRickstar321
Basic TJ owner here headed towards high dollar ā€œGen Rightā€ TJ!!! Loved this video!!! So much fun! Keep up the great content! I bought her for 10k will end up with 60K in build but that was why I bought her!! Again live the vid!
  • I drive a mostly stock TJ, not because I can't change it but they are rarer and rarer and the respect I get from modded Jeeps is crazy. It's an 01 Sahara in Stone White with the Camel Hardtop. The only mods have been some Halo LEDs, Stereo and speakers, and some other things that are just maintenance. I rock the stock for it's rarity. Don't get me wrong though...it's my fishing hole crawler Jeeps are great, they are whatever we want them to be. Keep up the content, man
  • @JeepXLC
it's a good thing we have a JK rich boi willing to talk down to us and let us know what kind of people we are.
  • @GenVirtu
Well my 98 Jeep wrangler TJ is pretty stock, riding on 31x10 1/2 AT tires. No lift. And I just had the steering assembly redone and my rear brakes done.
  • @sirmerlin860
You forgot the ones that could outshine a light house and those who slam their TJs.
  • @drumdude68
I'm late to the party here being 5 months deep since you uploaded the video. You are definitely knowledgeable about parts and suppliers for TJs. Mad respect for being informed and well versed on the subject. You kept my attention with my BS and opinion detector on zero. I think I fall in the capable wheeler with a little bit of Genright high dollar action going on. Wish I could share pictures. She's a beaut. Good content ... I subbed.
  • @cainhager9814
I'm a little bit of an Amazon and a little basic lifted tj. Going to go 33s and probably a 3.5-4 inch lift cause I daily it but wanna off road it a bit without spending a fortune and I do want to upgrade my lights to LEDs. But otherwise its staying how it is cause jeep nailed it with the tj
  • @jeraldc.1729
This guy wasnt even around when I had my '93 Yj. Went to a '01 TJ. Now have a '14 JK.
  • @RubiKidd06
Iā€™m amused most if not all JK,JL owners are under the impression TJ owners want a newer 4 dr jeep. Maybe some day when I get enough money and match with every soccer mom Iā€™ll be accepted. Just playing I know we will never be accepted.šŸ˜€šŸ˜€šŸ˜€
