One of the greatest songs ever recorded.
-
Christopher Cross won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist, with Cross becoming the first artist to win the four major categories in the same year โ a feat not replicated until Billie Eilish in 2020.
-
I remember when Christopher Cross's first album came out in 1979 & we all bought a copy. The whole album was good with one hit after another including "Sailing", "Ride Like The Wind", "Never Be The Same", "Say You'll Be Mine" etc. He won 4 Grammy Awards for it. He released a 2nd album in 1983 with a few hits on it. But sadly after that his fame declined. Success came quickly, all at once & then suddenly faded. Too bad as he was very talented.
-
This track was, and still is, a whole mood.
-
And this is live too. It just shows how talented Christopher Cross is.
-
He is just a Treasure. Love Christopher Cross. He's sooo talented. What an awesome ARTIST.
-
I respect so much about what you said about getting paid for your time! 1. You deserve that kind of recognition for your efforts and 2. Youโre honest about your personal life goals! There is NOTHING wrong with that! Itโs admirable and we love watching your productions! God Bless You and thanks for the lovely reaction!

I met Christopher and his band once at a local jazz spot called The Ramshead in Annapolis, MD. This was years after the prime of his career. He is the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. He didn't hesitate at all to take a picture with me and my husband. But the most amazing thing was that his voice had not declined AT ALL after all those years. There are other great songs in his catalogue as well.

โLet me not Pen Shame!โ ๐๐๐ Luv this young lady. Her family is blessed to have her.
-
This is my favorite song. One day I would love to go sailing and enjoy the beautiful water
-
Unfortunately I don't really have any of parents or grandparents anymore. For those of you who do... Be thankful, grateful and check on em as often as ya can.
-
He was great in the late 70s early 80s....when i hear this song and others like it, it makes me wish i could go back in time
-
It's like me and my love are arms wrapped around each other and we're just sailing away and our love is like the breeze like we're on a cloud together sailing
-
Thank you for sharing this beautiful performance. I hadn't heard this in years. This version is better than the studio version! Keep your reactions coming!! โคโค๐๐โคโค

Welcome to yacht rock,...dim the lights, get out the GOOD bottle of wine, snuggle up and make memories. ๐
-
He reminded me of Aaron Neville, big dudes with soft angelic voices.
-
So glad you came across this song. To me this song is perfection. The vocals on point, the musical instrumentation is genius. Close your eyes and enjoy the ride.
-
I love his music ๐ถ timeless Arthur's Theme is also a classic by him
-
So many memories of the late 70โs and the early 80โs, this music made those times very special , coming of age in the early 80โs ! Memories of FM 104, our soft rock station n Memphis!

Beautiful song with a lovely Lady reacting with grace and understanding. Thank You, and wind behind all on board with you.
