    Fact: horses have developed some facial muscles to imitate human facial expressions.

    Horses may not be quite as intelligent as dogs, but they are far more intelligent than most owners, and usually turn their owner into an obedient servant.
  • Fact 25 should say that horses can sleep either standing OR lying down. Some horses definitely do sleep lying down.

    Horses were domesticated at least 9,000 yrs ago, as ancient graves have been discovered with human & horse remains buried together,,,in Saudi Arabia, dated at .. 9,000 yrs old.

    Horses sleep lying down.... They can only reach rem sleep lying down. They only doze off when standing because their hips lock into place

    Horses do not salivate in order to stay hydrated. They produce so much saliva because they are designed to graze virtually all day long and need saliva to begin the digestion process.
