Formula L Biscuits

Published 2020-08-14
I have been using Southern Biscuit Mix Formula L for many years. Way before I ever started a you tube channel and I still rave about it now as much as I did then.

On my 2 ingredient biscuit video I mentioned that I normally used formula L and many of you have asked me about it so I figured I would take some time and show you what formula L is all about!

2 ingredient biscuit video:    • HOMEMADE DELICIOUS  2 Ingredient Bisc...

We purchase this directly from the company and have always loved it! The nice thing about ordering several bags is when we receive compliments we will give a bag to our guest/friends.

I consider myself to be a decent cook, but I have always struggled with making homemade biscuits. They usually always come out too dry and hard. I made biscuits using Bizquick a few times, but didn’t care for them. I then started buying the Pilsbury southern style frozen biscuits and gave up on making my own. Taking the advice from someone at church I went to the grocery store got the Formula L and some whole buttermilk and made them. I couldn’t believe how simple it was to make and how absolutely great they tasted. Folks, if you struggle with making homemade biscuits like me do yourself a favor and use the Formula L recipe. I promise you won’t regret it.
  • I love sausage gravy on biscuits and then I put a spoonful of preserves or Jam on top and the sweet and savory salty thing is so delicious! :-)
  • I love this biscuit mix. The pancakes are delicious also. I bought Bisquick for years until I saw a lady I new on Facebook showing a pan of homemade biscuits, I asked her for the recipe and how she made beautiful biscuits. She sent me a picture of the Southern Biscuit bag. She told me where to look in the store. I bought a bag and have never bought a box of any other biscuit mix. The are wonderful with my home canned Peach Preserves and Fig preserves. Thank you for such a wonderful video and if I lived in your area I would definitely go to your church.. What I have seen what your church does and the great get togethers with everyone bringing their favorite dishes everyonr loves. Just great get togethers and good old country cooking. Great fellowship. God bless you and I am glad he kept you here to teach us and share your testimony. Such a wonderful husband who stood by you through it all. Loved the testimony of him asking everyone in your room if they were believers and he was ready to send the nonbelievers out the door. May God continue to bless you and your husband and your family.

Newbie here! My mama was a southeast Alabama southern cook. Kept all of her secrets to herself so they died with her. She used a bottle to roll out biscuit dough and a glass to cut them. Hoping to learn so much from you. BTW love your husband! He's hilarious!

My gma made the best biscuits! She passed in 2015 and I’ve always been scared to try to make them! I made these this morning and kept pausing and playing your video! They turned out beautiful!!! Tasted so close to hers!!

My sister sent a link to your channel. Then she sent me another link to this video. I have to agree with other posters, y'all are adorable! I've seen the name for years...don't recollect whether it had formula L on it or not. The older I get the more appealing shortcuts become. Thanks for sharing how they turn out!

Caroline you are a wonderful, strong, Christian woman. I love that you have chosen Jordan for your babies name. How wonderful to know that you will meet your baby Heaven! My granddaughter who was only 17 passed away this past October. Her mother miscarried three times and we know that she has met her siblings, along with her grandparents who passed away before her. To me that is so awesome!

I will try these again, the first time I got my can kicked, ( maybe cause I used milk). I had a hissy fit🫢 but I no swear words. Still not a good feeling. I did just make your two ingredient biscuits and they came out perfect. I’m gaining more confidence in the kitchen and feeding my family tasty food. My Mom told me you never get too old to learn. Thank you for teaching.
  • @bsugarplum

My first attempt at making Any homemade biscuits and I'll be 60 next month; lol. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 so thank you so much.
