I'm 100% convinced this "war" was invented entirely by a Buzzfeed employee

That girl rapping did not sound like eminem. She sounded like a teacher making a song parody but replacing the lyrics with the rules of her classroom.
  • I’m a semi-older millennial (went to high school in the early 2000s). I’ve caught myself grumbling about Gen Z over the same crap for which Boomers used to criticize us. It gave me some healthy perspective to just relax and laugh.
  • Blaming millennials of being bad because of Mumford and Sons is unironically hilarious.

I'm technically Gen Z, and you're technically a millennial, so we must fight to the death. Oh but I'm actually only 4 months younger than you

As a member of Gen Z, I can confidently say I’ve never met anyone from my generation who legitimately cares about middle parts vs side parts, skinny jeans vs all other styles of jeans, etc.

People born in 1996-1997 are the middle child watching their older and younger siblings fight while were in the corner eating glue

As a young millennial (1994), I’m old enough to relate to some parts of my generation, and young enough to relate to Gen Z. I’m also convinced 90’s kids are their own generation. Also, down with the Boomers

Eddie: says Eddie is tall. Also Eddie: 2.5 inches tall on my screen.
  • @GremlinReal
This is literally when boomers were attacking millennials. You either die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain

As a Millennial, gen z isn't the issue. It's the older generations who made us all poor while mocking us for being lazy and entitled. Solidarity, my Gen Z homies

I'm a Genx'er and it's wild to me watching this "Generation (xyz etc)" unfold over the past 40 freaking years. When what I think everyone's missing is that the original name was a derogatory term, it was meant to brand us, and the media onslaught was intense for our formative years. Just like you. That X a lot of my generation simply took as a badge of pride for whatever it is we were supposed to have done wrong. For life, basically disappear us from the table, and it did. It's wild to me that every generation is being named and shamed in the same way. It just serves to make us further atomize and disintegrate. Cue Robert Smith please.

Can't wait til we get 20 years older and realize we were all the same age
  • @leftygurl
“kim jung un is a millenial” is not something i expected to realize today

As a Gen Z kid in middle school 10+ years ago, I remember disliking millennials & getting annoyed with being associated with them and wondering when the distinction between my generation and theirs would be more acknowledged lol. An easy way to think of it is a millennial is someone who can remember 9/11 and and life before the turn of the millenium (2000), and if you were a little kid at that time or younger and can't remember then you're gen Z. I think the only reason gen Z is getting more focus now is because all of gen z are young adults and teenagers and can actually make their own money and buy stuff now.

Politically Gen Z and millennials mostly agree, so the fighting is especially stupid. We're each other's biggest allies.
  • @humsavannah2950
millennials pulling the “i’m older than you” card is so ironic given that’s what we hate the boomers for doing all the time
  • @ninjariles1183
Imagine being a grown adult and feeling personally attacked that an idiot teen doesn’t like your pants.

I'll be 32 in a week and change and that piano bit had me cringing so hard I got a headache. If I ever head somebody gen z criticizing skinny jeans, my first response would be "you haven't seen shit until you've seen Tripp pants."
