People forget he was an aspiring musician in his youth.
-
he has a genuinely impressive, Bowie-esque, control over those deliberate voice breaks.
-
Damn he's pretty good, its cool when people are multi talented
-
"He went home to get it"

There goes Ricky Gervais, we must remember to thank him.

As an American, I was doing some work in the UK, and the company put me up in Windsor - my first night there I noticed a sign outside Windsor Station pointing toward Slough - NO WAY! I thought it was a fictitious town from The Office series. That was a trip I wasn’t about to miss. Filled my belly with a couple pints and grabbed the next train out. Next morning when asked by my new English colleagues how I spent my evening, they were shocked and thought it very funny that of all places, I would choose to explore Slough. I found it to be quite pleasant. Oh Slough, how I miss thee..

He's basically a chilled out entertainer
-
Comedian or not that's some good singing.

I didn't know what I needed today was to hear Ricky Gervais sing. This totally brightened my day. This guy is awesome.

This is a actually a beautiful performance. Gervais is a talented man.

I had no idea he played music. He's actually pretty good. A lot of conviction in his voice and he plays very well too.
-
There is actually soul in his voice. He’s taking the piss with soul on par with bob Dylan and zombie by the cranberries. Ricky is a genuine artist

Ricky Gervais is such a clever talented guy. That's why he is so funny. Great music also which surprised me at first.
-
Watching this from Slough right now!😂
-
The man has so much talent, but is just himself and down to earth at the same time. Such a great guy. Keeping me smiling for over 20 years ❤
-
He sounds like David Bowie with a bit of Bono.
-
I love this song and the way he sings it. I know it's meant to be a comedy song and the words make me smile but the way Ricky sings it gives it a cool edge.
-
I'm actually quite impressed with the guitar and vocals, no end to Ricky's talent, well done m8
