  • I have alot of respect for ricky gervais after hearing his words on bbc radio 2 awhile ago. When asked when he was going to take a break he replied with "my job is a break, its the truck drivers factory workers etc that need a break" Funny and a genuine nice guy.

Learn Guitar with David Brent - Part 1 - enjoy!
  • I was sitting here with my new guitar for 2 minutes until I realized I wasn't going to learn anything about playing a guitar from this video.

my only regret is I saw David Brent, and I forgot to thank him

"What are you going to do with them (the strings)? Whatever you like... within reason." Love that he's considering the possibility that people could do inappropriate things with guitar strings.

I know people with mental illness, they're no fun to be around. I died. haha
  • @geekrockrats
"Spaceman came down to answer some things, the world gathered round from paupers to kings" I keep waiting for that
  • This song truly captured the essence of "Life On The Road." Fantastic performance. This song is a lot of fun to play on the guitar as well as to sing. Outstanding tutorial.

One of the things I loved about the 'Brent' character was that his music was actually quite good (and his poetry too). It kind of demonstrated that 'Brent' was a sensitive person underneath all his bravado, which gave real meat to the character. And he's right, you don't need 'B', just use a capo if you need to play in B.

"hard shoulder, coffee holder" i was dying of laughter

Oh David, thanks for this. It was so informative. There are so many other so-called guitar teachers that spend ages with boring chord structures and repeating over and over again... duh 🙄.. but you show the real meaning of your songs and life.. you move me man 😊❤️🎸🎶
  • @cbbuntz
I just wrote a song called "Deep Throat."  The chords are G-A-G.
  • @ludmillawebb
He is actually even has sense of musical tact and quite pleasant voice. And he has the real feelings that he wants to sing about. Just Great.
  • @firebyrd58
I didn't know I could teach myself guitar! So inspirational. Thank you, David Brent.

Fuckin amazing. Years later and Rick snaps right back into Brent mode with no problem. One of, if not, the best comedians in the world.
