After playing the game for almost a week, I finally realized I was upgrading my cars wrong and I figured many of you probably were too.

Gran Turismo is available exclusively on the PS4/PS4 Pro.

Miss the old tuning aspect in the game. Buying parts and tires. Now it just seems so sterile and unappealing modding and tuning. And I really miss the used car lot. I would buy a lot of unloved cheap cars to tune.

I just read that the reason they changed the car upgrades and got rid of GT mode is because "the younger generations dont understand how cars work basically, that they dont understand how to upgrade or tune a car". That just blew my fucking mind, let's trash a game that millions of people love to accommodate young people being dumbasses, is basically what they're saying.

Is it so much to ask for a realistic racing game with in depth tuning like being able to change parts like ECU, Turbo, Suspension, Engine, Exhaust... But then also be able to change visuals like Body kits and stuff. But each thing changes performance so adding a spoiler increases down force at the cost of speed. Games always have 1 of the other or neither.

I thought for about a week you had to just buy cars that were faster. Then I saw that upgrade feature and felt so used 😂

i know im late to the party, but for some reason i cant increase the power ratio slider further than 100 ever after upgrading to level 3. Same as for the weight reduction, i cant go under 100 even when i upgrade it. So basically just spent 5000 miles on nothing because the upgrades to absolutely nothing. The car im trying to upgrade is the merc f1 w08 btw. Is that supposed to be a thing? Or am i doing something wrong?

I have both upgraded to 3 (the max) but i can't get into the slider to apply it as there is a lock symbol over that field. this is when I am trying to do the daily race. is that just a condition of the daily race or I need to do something to unlock access to the slider field??
