In this video we will look at a Poulan Chainsaw that won't start. There are a few problems with the saw but there is one very big problem that we see every so often and I'll show you what it is. #smallenginerepair

Great video, you can’t keep a good ol Poulan down!

I like the carb stand! My poulan wood shark has torch plug and I've never changed it and I would of never bought a torch plug and I don't think you can get them from parts store where I live and I've never got a plug online so I'm pretty sure that's what it came with. Good stuff as always!
  • enjoy your narrative, explaining as you go is great, learnability
  • Great info. It’s just me, but with a good oil mix,I don’t use any type of stabilizer. I’m going to make that stand, but probably from wood. I prefer to rebuild. Carbs from same place can have been made to different specs. Take care.

Wow. It's cool that they try and keep the fuel system clear and start it occasionally at The Museum of the 90's where that is stored. I looks like it just came off of the K-Mart blue light special sale from back in the day....
  • I'm still watching more of your videos, I have watched all of it. (Scotty's voice) Thanks for watching........LATER!!!

I've got a Husqvarna 435 completely rebuilt it, new head piston fuel filter carb air filter fuel filter plug, spark arrester is good, starts but pull throttle just bogs doesn't kill it but bog, been playing with adjustments and nothing. At idle chain spins on bar. Totally 100% stumped and I love you vids they're extremely helpful, wondering if you have any suggestions thanks

Great video and commentary Scott! What time of day were you working on the saw? The work bench/table busy with multiple aerosol cans, shop rags, etc. I'm guessing later in the day.

What's your opinion on fuel stabilizers in general? I always add a cap full to a full tank every spring when I put the snow blower away.
