POULAN - Wild Thang ChainSaw ~ MOST COMMON PROBLEMS ~ Worst Saw on the PLANET (Any Box Store Poulan)
   • POULAN - Wild Thang ChainSaw ~ MOST C...

I customer asked me to look at these machines for him.
This one needed a few repairs; cleaning, hoses, carb rebuild and in general the stuff I see with these.

I use the HIPA Replacement parts
Here is the part number for the diaphragm Kit, you can go to their website below or search Amazon.

HIPA www.hipastore.com/
diaphragm Kit X0018RA3FH is the number on the bag but it must be an internal number.
Bets way to find parts is to go to the website and match the parts up, they have very good pics.
You can also find them on Amazon with good pics as well

Great video! About to service my P3314. (2009) First time for me. Definitely subbed too. 👍😊

Just fixed one of those WAT Walbro and found that the needle fulcrum was set at level with the lower portion of fuel well as it’s supposed to be it still pumped to much fuel. Moved it away from the diaphragm post a smidge and it now idles like it should and runs out great. Before it would flood out and not idle even with the low jet needle all the way in.

Good place to start with the screw is 1-1/2 turns out from seated.

Very good video on how to do this. I have the same chainsaw now for about 8 years. I use it all the time in the winter to cut wood for our fireplace. So far, it runs good. I do put carburetor cleaner in the gas tank every time I fill it up. Perhaps this is why so far I haven't had carburetor problems. But you video show what I need to do if and when the time comes! Thank you for posting.

The throttle lever comes off before the carb comes off!

I noticed that parts of the carb repair video is mirror imaged, since you tightened the screws turning CCW. ;) Good info for carb repairs.

I use a can of brake cleaner around the filler before I remove cap to fuel or oil tank Keep the trash out and it’s good for years

Right around 23 min. The vid is in mirror/ reverse? Had me thinking what?? A right hand pull on a Poulan? Naaa! Then at 25:30 you corrected the view
  • @Knockenbootz
Anyone know what the diameter in mm is of the pull rope?
  • @fiestaquest861
What was the spray lubricant you put on the pull cord assembly and flywheel…you said it turns to wax? You commented on how much you liked the product but never reviewed the can to the camera or mention it.

3 months ago...W V wrote you about the "mirror image" which you dismissed. He is correct, your camera reverses the whole view of the saw...so when you lie the saw on the side...looking at the Gas Tank, it appears on the RIGHT Side of the Saw in your video. When indeed....the Gas Fill is on the LEFT Side of the Poulan 3314 OR 3416(see 22:33 of your video). It is the Camera setting...nothing to do with the wheels or spinning objects....Just an suggestion, but "Google" or search for "REVERSED IMAGES on video camera" and you will see what W V is trying to tell you, which is your SAW IMAGE is reversed in your Video - making it confusing. Simply LOOK at your Saw and then...LOOK at the video and you will SEE the VIDEO IMAGE is flipped and often shows everything REVERSED and that is likely so in all your videos. So SHOWING video HOW TO's does not work so well if your RIGHT is our LEFT😃. Your choice to ignore...again, here is useful link: https://midnightphotographer.com/cameras-flip-images/
