Yamaha iEF2800I Inverter generator that doesn't start and has had problems with hunting and surging. I go through diagnosing problems with this Yamaha inverter generator and finally fix all the problems.

I purchased this inverter generator from a Auction House for around $200 AUD. It was listed as "SUITABLE FOR PARTS ONLY" I was taking a risk but being a Yamaha Inverter Generator I thought I would give it a try as all parts were on the machine. It only cost me my time to fix, so it was close to $0.

    I took apart carb couldn't get jet out put it back together didn't run watched your video tried again got jet out cleaned it and fired right up gonna see how much I can get for it paid 50 thanks man

    Wish me luck i bought this exact yamaha generator 2 years ago and have never known what to do with it since it once started but i could not get it to stay on it was stored over a year i was told it needed tlc i bought it for $100 there was no videos until you !!!! Miraculously finally put this out !!! Thank you ill fill u in . Meantime i subscribed liked watched , commented and shared!!!

    Thanks for the video. I had my Yamaha Generator EF2800i serviced recently and was told it had RPM problems and it could be the inverter which cost AUD$1200 plus labour to fix. I am going to give fixing it myself a go wish me luck cross fingers.

    Bargain mate. A good feeling getting something like that to run when everyone else has given up for no reason at all, I’ve seen generators that look liked they’ve rolled down a mountainside that still run. Now you have a gen to work with 👍

    I got the same Yamaha generator, like that one starting and running very well but it doesn’t send power out. Please can you tell me what i have to do?
