I forgot a 6th Reason to do POTA. Receiving a "PAPER" QSL from hams. It's pretty cool and nostalgic when I open my mailbox and see one of my contacts took the time to send me a QSL. When I receive one I'll alway send one back. I started in amateur radio before there was an internet and as hams in those days we were busy exchanging QSL cards with each other. I share my feeling about eQSL and LOTW on my QRZ page. There something special about holding a paper QSL thinking back to the conversation that started it all. Sorry, to me LOTW or any other electronic verification, while overly convenient, are just plain soulless.

After a year of holding a general license, I purchased a Xiegu G-90 20 watt radio. I’ve spent the last month hunting POTA activations and have to say it’s enjoyable. Hard to break through a pileup with 20 watts so patience is required. Kevin W4KAM

Someone coined the phrase, Everyday is Field Day with POTA. I can't disagree with any of your points.
