I finally got the annual service completed on the Tiger! Took almost a month to schedule because the rear tire I ordered was on backorder.
Look for a 1 year review coming soon! A couple of months late, though.

New tires are always cool to me. 😄 Enjoy the camping trip and take care of that foot.

Hey now...brrrr, 48 degrees is chilly, but just makes you appreciate warmer temps! Good to see you out riding! I hear you about not using the rear brake as much. Congrats on one year of owing the Tiger. 😀
  • I usually use 20% rear and 80% front when I brake, as I like how you get a balanced stop. Looking forward to seeing the new tires. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about safety inspections. Ride safe.

Thanks for the reminder. I have to remember to check the tire pressure on my Ducati next time I get the chance to ride :D Always forget about it. Ride safe brother!

Nice to see you again Ron, yes I'm hoping to get out for a ride today, its drawing to a close fast up here in the great white north 😢

Congrats on 1 year on the tiger. It's certainly getting colder up here brother. I've already had a few 41 °F rides in the morning. Tires have been tricky to get this year haven't they. I think I might try and buy a new set at the end of next season and see if there is better availability then.

I’ll be looking forward to your one year video on the Tiger. I’ve just been working and doing the long loop to my gal with the Pan Am. Nothing exciting.
  • Brakes are linked in certain circumstances. Use the front brake only and the rear is applied too, use the rear on its own and it is rear only, use the rear while also using the front and they are also unlinked. This bike is heavy on rear pads but they are very cheap pads to replace.
  • TPMS is great on my bike. What I don't like is that I have to be moving for it to register. There have been a few times where I hit the road but didn't know that I was low. With the braking, I find myself doing balanced braking. When I had mine in for the 10K mile maintenance, nothing was said about the brakes. The state inspector wasn't able to get a clear look at them either so I couldn't trust his information. An adventure buddy of mine is planning a trek to Everest Base Camp in 2026...
  • Yearly inspections suck, haven't had to deal with that since I moved from DC to MD twenty years ago (and DC had only two inspections stations). Hardly use the rear brake on the Daytona at all, the Bonnie's gets a bit more use as the front isn't as strong as one might like (but mounting Galfer rotors and steel lines changed that quite a bit, amazing difference). Hoping to get in a road trip in a couple weeks, may head down your way on the way south (likely heading to Tazewell first, then into NC, very much up in the air right now).
  • when I use my brakes I always use both brakes at the same time but I do favor the front brake more than the back...Man your camping alot now looking forward to seeing them..stay safe
  • Looking forward to the 1 year review 😁 blisters are the worst, like an annoying inlaw that just keeps nagging and irritating you 🤦‍♂️🤣 So we getting camping videos coming soon then? 🤔😁✌
  • @RandysRides
Blisters are such a bother. They bug you all friggin day. A year already, huh ?? That went by fast. I hope you're enjoying it as much as day one. :)

The leaves are turning yellow on the few trees in nevada...
  • After my trip and doing it so much I find myself dragging my rear brake for stability every time I approach a traffic light or stop sign. My bikes going in for its 12000 mile checkup this coming Tuesday. Only 2500 miles past due. TAt miles. Will be buying new rear pads while I’m there and putting them on when I get home. Half to stop tat riding on the street lol.
  • @markmundy3435
Tigers have linked brakes, so always put a little back brake on even when you're just using the front and its not uncommon for them to use up a set of rear pads in as little as 5000-6000 miles (changing to something aftermarket HH helps as Triumph pads seem to be made of cheese). About the same mileage as they chew up a front tyre (tire), especially the oem ones that comes fitted. Mine is in for its first annual service in a few weeks and having new rubber fitted tomorrow, as the front is all but shot (flatted off on both sides) and I managed to pick up a big screw in the rear thats about half worn last week.
