  • This song hits different when you actually feel unloved
  • A friend of mine died by suicide when we were still in high school. He was such a sweet guy, he gave the best hugs. He hugged you like you mattered and like he needed you... which I guess is kind of ironic. For our senior choir song, we sang this song. And to this day I can't sing the chorus/beginning without tearing up or just stopping entirely. We miss you Daniel. But this song will always have a special place in our hearts
  • The message ... Actually isn't that you will be found. He comes up with the message on the premise of having been found by Connor. But it had never happened. No one found him and picked him up when he was broken on the ground. He had to build a huge construct of lies just to be heared.... BECAUSE he wouldn't have been found otherwise. I think the actual message here is "Don't wait to be found.... Go and find OTHERS! Reach out to possible friends, to a therapist, to your family if they are open. Don't wait to be found, because it might never happen"
  • I recently tried to speak to my mom about getting me to a doctor about depression and shit by going to a counselor and having them notify her since I didn't have the guts to do it myself. When I got home she wouldn't even look at me and barely even spoke to me. She sent my dad to talk to me and my dad was more understanding and helpful whereas she told me I needed to suck it up after and deal with it something I've been doing for years. We ended up getting in a screaming match and nothing was solved and now I'm scared of her and it left me feeling more alone than ever knowing how she feels about me. This however has helped me feel a little less alone in the world and made me feel better so thank you! <3

Dear Random Person, Today's going to be a good day, because today you're yourself. And that's enough. Sincerely, Me
  • Dear me, Today isn't a good day. Your parents hit you, yelled at you and made awful comments about your body. Your friends didn't remember your birthday. You didn't get any presents irl. The only ones who remembered where your Neighbours in Animal Crossing New Horizons. But they have to remember. It's in their data to remember. Maybe someday you'll see this comment again. You'll probably forget about this soon since your memories suck hard, no offense. But just because nobody remembers your birthday or only screams at you today doesn't mean that will be like this for the rest of your life. Soon you'll be found. Soon you'll live with your best friends instead of your toxic family. It's gonna be okay. Stay strong. Don't give up. Do it for them. You can do it. Sincerely, Me
  • When I saw the musical, I cried for literally the entire second act (no freaking joke) and then a hour after the musical ended. Anyways, in this song, Connor's dad realizes how much he misses his son. He stands in the middle of the stage for a few moments, then falls to his knees crying... It was the most painful cry I had ever seen in my life. Hope I made you cry too :) This musical is literally the best and it has so much raw emotion that I almost fainted from all the feels.
  • This song is perfect, especially for people like me who have thought about Suicide. This song has a huge message, never give up, always believe in yourself never listen to the ones who say it can't happen. This is your life, don't listen to the people who don't see it that way. You may be different but there are others who believe in you, God made you the person you are and don't let anyone change that. Most importantly You will be found
  • everyone here is going through something and I'm over here eating cheetos in bed and having a musical marathon
  • true fact: listening to sad music makes depressed people feel better. This, I think, is one of those songs to listen to because not only is it sad, but beautiful.

Dear lonely stranger, Don't worry because there's a place where we don't have to be unknown. Every time you come out, you're a little less alone. If you only say the word, from across the silence, you voice is heard. You are not alone. One day, you'll rise again. We need to come together. Sincerely, me

Dear Random Reader, Today is going to be a good day, and here's why: You're you. You're yourself, the person you're meant to be. That's enough for anyone. For me. For yourself. For your parents. Ask them, the person you like, out. If they break your heart, move up and forward. Draw that drawing. Shoot that photo. Join that club. You can do it. You're a brave soul. Stars only shine when they're in the dark. You can always move forwards. If you're in Richmond, Tampa, Minnesota, anywhere in the world, trust me on this, You will be found. Sincerely, Me.
  • Love this song, we sing this in my choir. I wish I could see the musical!

I’m crying so hard it took me 20 years to be found. Your time will come stay strong
  • they did this at my school cabaret and some people were doing sign language and it made my heart melt
  • Before, I’d heard this song and just loved it for the vocals and amazing people involved in it. But now... I am sobbing, in my bedroom, relating to every word. This song has made me so emotional, and it’s made me both cry sadly and happily at the same time: both for the people like Connor, who didn’t know they had so many people who cared, and they didn’t know until it was too late. They deserve recognition and that is what made me sob. I cried happily, because I am so grateful for all of my friends and family, who love and care for me and reassure me it’ll be okay (please tell me if there are mistakes, my vision is blurred with tears, sorry) and I wish that reassurance upon everyone who needs it. I love them all so much and I can’t stop crying omg. I wish all happiness onto those like Connor, and hope they can get better in time. All you guys/girls or whatever you identify as, know you are loved and valid. You are loved by someone even if you do not know it, you WILL be found. (God, now I need a hug). Tell someone you love them today, or maybe just a kind gesture, you never know who may need it. Sorry I’ve probably wasted your time here in the comment section, but I wanted to share how beautifully moving this song is, and what impact it has had on me. And I wish happiness upon you all... You will be found.
