Elderly Couple STUNNED with What I FOUND BURIED under this Overgrown Grass, Wait until you see this! #overgrownlawn

This Elderly Couple reached out as their yard has gotten out of control due to health issues and she explained she just wants her yard back. I drove out there and was stunned at how much Overgrowth there was. This has to be one of the largest trimming jobs I’ve ever done. They were shocked to see what all I found buried underneath all this overgrown grass

They were stunned this was hidden in the Overgrown Grass -    • Couple STUNNED with What I FOUND BURI...

it's a hard confirmation to accept when someone can't continue caring for the beauty they created ...
  • This must have been their little paradise in their backyard years ago. This garden with so much creativity/little treasures takes so much time & effort to maintain. Eric you are a great asset to your community. Awesome Job! Blessings/peace
  • The way it was originally built was an invitation for whimsical to take place. As the clean up was necessary, it still brought a tear to my eye seeing all that just cut away
  • the homeowner said "people don't do that any more!" She was SOOO appreciative of what Erik had done! GREAT JOB, ERIK! Seeing those different items uncovered must have brought black so many wonderful memories for them! ❤❤❤

Oh, my gardeners heart!!!! So many treasures. This is the type of project I could sink my teeth into. I would LOVE to do a garden project like this. I know this was a gorgeous garden before and can be brought back to its glory.
  • Oh, lord, it would have been like Christmas for me in this garden—all those hidden treasures! The old lawnmower, milk can, red wagon! The old tubs! I wanted you to display each piece so I could get a good look at them! You did an amazing transformation! Although it did break my heart to see all those hydrangeas go!
  • I would love to see a picture of what this garden looked like in its glory days. A lot of work went into it over the years. So sad they couldn't take care of it anymore. Great job cleaning it up. Made me sad.
  • I can only imagine how beautiful this garden once was. The amount of hidden treasures and beautiful plants were the result of many hours of hard work. I'm sure it was heartbreaking to them to see it like this. Thank you, Erik, for working so hard to restore their area, so once again they can enjoy it. On another note, please watch out for snakes!

Thanks for doing that for them. You know how many people did not want the job. And you can tell someone loved the space.

As we got older we, meaning my husband, found it harder and harder to deal with the garden. So we downsized, found the house too cramped for us, then moved again. Now we are in a bigger house with only a 5m backyard which is all decking, a small Japanese garden, and a rocky garden with a water feature. The front is decking and stones. We only have plants in pots which are all around. The only grass is out front on the nature strip which is required by council. It takes my husband not even an hour to cut and trim the grass. We still have a beautiful outdoors which is well under our control. It’s very easy for a garden to get out of control.

I bet that yard was something to see back in the day! Great job!

It's like finding a Secret Garden and you're bringing life back to it. 👏👏👏👏👏🌺

Wow, Erik, that was some job! They could have a garden supply sale and make a good amount of money off all the excess things and that would help clean up the place. You just can’t do it anymore when you’re elderly. The mind wants to, but the body just can’t. 😊💖🦋🕊
  • Eric, my perspective on why properties get this way have changed since I myself have gotten older, people like you, and that still work are a godsend. ❤️
  • Such a whimsical garden at one time that was cared greatly by the gardener! So many antiques mixed in. Oh I'd have a field day! Great job!!
  • These types of videos have made me really rethink my own yard and flower gardens the past couple of years. I have really cleared out all the "treasures" and downsized the overall size of the gardens. Got rid of a lot of pots on my patio area too. To be honest, it has really made me feel so much better knowing I won't be leaving a mess for my kids to deal with someday. Great job Erik on a very difficult property!
