City Code Enforcement OFFICER Showed Up At The SAME TIME I Did

One day I was driving around my neighborhood and noticed this overgrown property. I knocked on the door and nobody answered. I decided to return the next day & give this property a free makeover. After countless failed attempts to reach the owner, it seemed as if this place was just abandoned due to the neglected condition of the property/home itself. When I arrived to clean this place up, the city code enforcement officer showed up at the same time (awkward). He didn't exit his vehicle. We just stood there both for about 15 minutes until he decided to leave. I think he just assumed I was there to mow it down. Was he going to site this homeowner for a violation? I am not sure. But I hope we saved them from a ticket.

When you drove off, the neighbors emerged from inside their homes, and asked, "Who was that masked man?" Someone replied, "It was the Lawn Ranger." You did well, Jedi Fill.
  • From a senior,it’s heartwarming to see there are still young men like yourself in this world !!! God Bless you !!!
  • Lots of respect for a lawn guy that actually uses a rake. And picks up the mess, not just mulches it into more of a mess. Cudos. Thanks for the good content.
  • Just looking at the retaining walls alone, someone at one time had put a lot of care and effort into making this a pretty little home and for whatever reasons (health, financial, etc.) is no longer able to maintain it the way they once did. It's touching to see someone take the time to revive it back to some of its former beauty!

Clearly something has happened to the homeowner. The yard was cared for at one time. Thank you Fill.

You are the US American I fought for. USA needs more like you...

As someone who rides a motorcycle, I want to not only thank you for doing this to help these people, but also for not spitting the clippings into the street where they could cause a bike to wreck. Thank you.
  • Frankly I am amazed that you didn't have creepy neighbors calling the cops on you. Well done. The world needs more people like you.
  • I think you should leave a business card so they know that it wasn’t the city that came out to do it. It will relieve any anxiety they may have about being charged for it.
  • What a transformation. It is a shame that neighbors don't run their mowers over their next door neighbor's yard when they are doing their own. Maybe the owner has gone to nursing home, or died even. But it would certainly improve their own property to keep it mowed and trimmed. Thank you for doing this. Well done.

It cannot be easy navigating your way around a strange garden, not knowing what is hiding in the overgrown verbiage. Wires, kids toys, pet cemeteries and bits of old hoses and ornaments. I really admire what you do to help people out. When someone gets ill and has to go to hospital and then needs to convalesce, a garden can get really overgrown in no time, and is a daunting task to sit and worry about. Thank you.
  • I think people like you are awesome you go around, helping others who can’t do for themselves because of lack of income. You save people from fines and you help them out God bless you for it. I know you make your money with YouTube, but you deserve more. God bless you for not charging. God bless you for helping folks who are in need.❤❤

You don’t realize how much work it is to do someone’s lawn until you watch the video. You really cleaned it up and I know the neighbors appreciate it too!! Awesome
  • You are a unique guy, one in a million. No thought of reward. The world would be a better place if more people helped others. Well Done.
  • I can’t say anything that has not already been said. Good things will come to you and your family because of all the good you do!
  • I have been completely absorbed in watching It is nice that there are some people that are still willing to help people in need.

I really love houses like these. The front walkway was curved, there was character behind that house. All too often these cookie cutter homes are just boxes with a square front yard and no character. You made this home look inviting once again. Good job!
  • You not only help them out, you do a professional job! You don't cut corners, and look like your cutting your Grandma's lawn, with your effort! You're a hard worker, and I'm sure the homeowners feel loved!💯❤️
  • @sals571
I'm always glad to see that you pick up all the really long grass cutting before leaving. And that you do your job in what I think is the right order...trim /weed wack FIRST and then mow. That way all the long, trimmed stuff gets picked up and mulched with the grass, not left to smother it. Great job on using your talents to help others! ❣️

I love how the neighbors never offered to help whoever lived here. What a country we have.
