The G923 is a simracing veteran. It has the same lineage as the legendary G25.But, is it worth it for 2023 when other options are around?

The best part of the Logi wheels are that they are built like a tank. Some of us are poor and don't have companies giving us free wheels, and we can't afford to upgrade really, so we had to go with the wheel that was more likely to last. My logitech has thousands, and thousands, and thousands of hours on it, and is still working as well as the day I got it 6 or 7 years ago. The gears are inherently less likely to fail than a belt system. Just something to keep in mind.
  • At last; a look at Logitech's GXXX wheels without the usual snooty tone and quips about it not being a £10,000 direct drive masterpiece.
  • Got my G923 in Oct. 2022 and have zero complaints. It's a superb starter wheel for sure. I've had to clean the potentiometers on the pedals a couple of times. Keeps them working like new. Great product. Great vid. Thanks
  • You are supposed to push down after tightening the desk clamp. You push down and turn so itll never untighten btw

Thanks for this! I bought the G923 last summer to play Gran Turismo Sport. Although the feel and build quality were a big step up from my old Logitech Driving Force Pro, I was really disappointed about the amount of loud plastic clanking the Force Feedback generates in the wheelbase. It occasionally spoils the immersion. That said, I really enjoy the sensation of the TrueForce through the wheel itself, which has refreshed my GT Sport gameplay. I'm tempted to upgrade to a DD wheel to increase the immersion but the cost is way too high. Until they become cheaper, the G923 is an excellent entry-level wheel. 👍

I think that drifting with the g923 is extremely underrated. The greatly improved rotational speed thanks to the new 1000hz they added to work with true force, which means 0 needs of LUT files and calibrate it overtime in AC for example. If a person came from a wheel that's more powerful, fine you won't feel much difference between the models but coming from a g29 or older and using the tips of good old light hand driving instead of grasping with all force like it had 8nm of torque will quite improve your sense of details during racing and drifting overtime. Used to hate my g29 when I first got it Until I got a free upgrade to g923 and started using it right, weak wheel? Light hands.

Returned the G29 for the G923 cause the G29 just felt off having no haptics, its crazy just how much haptics make such a HUGE difference, the vibration and the enhanced break pedal really make it hard to reccomend the g29, price diff is small enough to justify a MUCH better wheel with the g923
  • Of course it's worth. For occasionally playing racing games just enough. Buying Fanatec, Moza and similar expensive maybe have a sense for the people who want to build tiny simulator and get some more fun but with this wheel nobody will be wrong at all for a casual daily gaming experience. I'm a professional driver and believe me even in a heavy trucks you'll never feel that enormous ffb even when I drove a months ago Lancia Delta Integrale car from the 80s on Rally show haven't noticed so many enormous forces just like players expect because have no sense even in real racing where nowadays all racing cars have power steering and assisting mechanisms.

I have my old PS3 Driving Force Pro for GT5/PS3. Its old. I have no doubt its incredibly out of date. Let me tell ya, it still works, and its decent enough! This will hold up and do its job.

I have a G920 since 2017 and it doesn't skip a beat. The only mod that I have done to it is add hall sensors to the pedals. It's not like I have much choice since imports are highly regulated in Argentina and the inflation is crazy so even a T300 would be a dream upgrade. My plan is to eventually get a sim rig and VR (also hard to find here). Thankfully these things are good enough and super reliable.

is that trueforce that you were touching at 1:04 while saying trueforce? or is it jump the clamp? if it's the clamp, how do you use it? this video gives more question than answer for beginner like me.
  • @gojtron
Glad I avoided Logitech while getting into it, the T300 video helped me buy
  • @SimRacingHQ
I feel that is depend what I have, the Logitech is one of the best entry levels , pedals yes they aren’t there but for the price is worthy.
  • As a long term g29 user (with a modified shifter) I'm perfectly happy with what I have and probably won't upgrade any time soon since I don't feel like shelling out the money needed. Might get a low end rig since I currently use a dining chair but other than that and a couple light mods I don't see myself doing anything else soon.
  • @maco8010
What is the best setting for this wheel
  • @byronreyes4356
Thinking about getting the Logitech g923 but I only play forza & im not sure if the wheel would be compatible with nfs heat
  • @arranmc182
Grid (2019) has pretty good Trueforce support on PC
  • The only problem I have with my G923 is the noise - I just can't play late at night and early in the morning :) This is the only reason I want to upgrade to some DD wheel. However, as I'm really into GT7 I find more reasonable to get a nice stiff solid cockpit. I assume upgrading a cockpit will improve my racing experience way better then upgrading to a new wheel.
