Nobara is my go to gaming distro. they wait for a reason. Bugs and Instability will happen. Reliability and Stability means more to me than bells and whistles. Nobara will be my main daily driver for years to come if they continue their excellent direction!

I really like the direction of the Nobara project. If I wasn't such an arch head, I might've consider it to be my main distro. Solid work from the Nobara team overall!

I just hopped to Nobara 40 the other day. I tried playing with CachyOS too, but Nobara just felt more complete out of the box, so it became my new daily driver. Hopefully they worked out the bugs since I last drove it, your video gives me hope.

They use Plasma by default and Calamares as the installer, which in my opinion already gives Nobara several points. Great video👍!

Great video, Nobara was a great distro back in the day and will definitely give it a look in the future. Glorious Eggroll has been a fairly well known name in the game for a long time so it was pretty cool that he joined your chat.

I use Nobara Steam Deck on my gaming PCs exclusively. It has been the best distro I've probably ever used. Games work near flawlessly and I don't have to interact with the system too much to get things to work. I used it at a tournament recently and everyone was impressed.

merci pour cette presentatation a1rm4x. Je debute depuis 1 mois sur une machine full linux. J ai commencé avec mint (qui est super) mais pour des soucis de reconnaissance de mon moniteur sous x11 je suis parti en quête d une autre distro. Me suis lancé sur nobara suite a ta video et pour l instant, en faisant gaffe de rester dans les clous, c est du tout bon. Good presentation for anyone like me who is looking for something powerful and not impossible for a beginner. Merci !

New to CachyOS, used Nobara a year. Found CachyOS 3% faster in benchmark Geekbench single and multi. Had stutters in game benchmark Cyberpunk 2077 (via Bottles) on Wayland (RX 6800XT) on both, but Xorg smooth, and faster, higher lows on CachyOS than Nobara, Been playing 2077 for a few days in CachyOS, stable, no crashes. Both sharing a single @ home partition. Still to learn and decide if I'll switch though.

I installed nobara 2 weeks ago when i build a new pc. One of your videos made me install install linux instead of dual booting it with windows no regrets. The upgrading from 39 to 40 did not go well tho. I had a lot of duplicates and other errors in the dnf menu. I timeshifted back to 39 and did the upgrade again and now everything is smooth :)

I am on Cachy after your Last vid about it. Its awesome. But how about benchmarks now. Cachy vs Nobara vs Ubuntu or so.? As an example, i lose 7-10 fps using Proton GE 9.10 instead Cachy Proton.

I tried cachyos and could not get a game to run,so I uploaded nobara,I download the same game and run,it started fine and run smoothly.Nobara just works especially for newbies,if you have knowledge to fix then another distro might suit you.Ive use nobara previous and tried several others,but never get them running,so I'm sticking to what works thanks GE.

WIll have to test it later. I haven't really used Nobara for more than year already.. did they prepared tools on getting Intel Arc fully working too?

I have installed CachyOS last night cuz tired of random freezing of my box just for browsing youtube or copying files in dolphin and the box completely freeze. i had to hold power button till it's off and i could reboot. hope cachy os hasn't that bug.
