"Comfortably Numb" leading up to the car crash with Christopher is a personal favourite.
  • @metelicgunz146
"rock the casbah" playing while Tony chases Phil down in the car is my favorite
  • @j11889
"Layla" while tony drives home only to get into a fight with carmella about his cheating in whitecaps is another excellent choice

The only show to properly showcase the beauty of Up N Da Club by 2nd II None

I can’t believe you didn’t mention the genius use of Up N’ Da Club by 2nd II None, AMG, and DJ Quik

The use of "Im Not Like Everybody Else" by The Kinks is also a favorite of mine. He sees Janice making progress with her anger management and he deliberately baits her with the whole "sacre bleu where is me mama" thing. Like it plays afterwards to show how he feels proud of what he did, when it actually shows how cripplingly insecure he is.

Season 1 ep 4 ending with mazzy stars - "look on down from the bridge" playing as AJ realises the reality of his family and the mob ties they have and his childhood innocence coming to an end is one of my favourites also "when its cold id like to die" playing at the end of join the club

“Evidently Chickentown” and “The Dolphins” were two of my favorite tracks The Sopranos used, those scenes are burned into my mind because of the music

Cool video, I loved how they use these songs. The most obvious use was "Every Breath You Take" when the FBI was trying to break into Tony's house.

I'd like to mention my second favorite ending, the 6x19 one, when Tony goes to visit AJ in the psych ward. In this moment we hear an Italian lullaby about a boy, Antoneddu, which means Little Anthony, or AJ, who becomes a brigand in the mountains to avenge his father's death. And the mother who would rather see him dead than a criminal like his father. Clearly a reference to the life of AJ Soprano.

Aphex Twin - #8 (Blur) one of my favorite songs of all times ended one of the seasons which makes it for me, uniquely special. Of course Comfortably Numb when Christopher meets his demise is one the best TV scenes ever
  • My absolute favourite use of song is when ‘chi-lites’’oh girl’ comes on the radio when tony is driving at night , and he is thinking about his Russian fling and goes into an emotional rage . It’s the episode I remembered so vividly. incredible story telling and i discovered that beautiful song 🥰

One of my favorite song use and scene in general is Long-Term Parking's ending. The somber piano plays while we slowly zoomed out of Tony and Carmela as the song says "it couldn't have happened to a better man." It captures the sorrow of the scene and the whole episode so perfectly. Long-Term Parking really is a perfect hour of television and the ending ties the whole thing greatly.

One of my all time favorite musical choices is the use of “Seven Souls” in the opening of season 6 episode 1. It beautifully sets the stage for the final season, driving home the theme of death
