Mike Johnson Truckin' * Grandpa Elliot 1999 New Orleans

Published 2009-10-31
It's around January 1999 and Mike stops in one of his favorite places to chill out for a spell, and listen to Grandpa Elliot entertain the crowd. It was on this break that he also met budding young Bluesman Ian Hoyle picking out some tunes down on New Orleans Mississippi River waterfront. Ian worked with Mike for several months before a family emergency called him home.

My wife and I wanted to go to New Orleans to see Grandpa Elliot, but due to serious health issues we never made it and now he's gone. We love listening to videos of Grandpa Elliot.

So sincere … country blues version sounds so good , harkens back to the old days of blues man that passed threw New Orleans, like leadbelly, bukka white , etc ….
  • El gran Elliot todo un artista de rasa cómo todo afro no sé si es vivo todavía.a su edad ISO su carrera para el mundo y su África tan maltratada
