Playing For Change (PFC) is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music, born from the shared belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. The primary focus of PFC is to record and film musicians performing in their natural environments and combine their talents and cultural power in innovative videos called Songs Around The World. Creating these videos motivated PFC to form the Playing For Change Band—a tangible, traveling representation of its mission, featuring musicians met along their journey; and establish the Playing For Change Foundation—a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world. Through these efforts, Playing For Change aims to create hope and inspiration for the future of our planet.

  • I'm sitting in my rocking chair, 63 years and change,. I'd stand up, but I'm a retired combat vet. Payed it forward. For those who can no longer stand. But but I'll stand by you, if rocking chairs count. I say they do. My only wish, God gave me more legs. When, I see him, I'll talk to him about it. God Rest My Sole
  • My dad used to play this version when we were kids . He passed away from cancer 4 years ago . He was kind . And had a great taste in music . Papa you taught us to be kind and loving in a world that is blinded with hatred and jealousy. I miss you ❤
  • So yes, I’m here in 2024. I found this video at least 10years ago. I’m always happy when the algorithm brings it back around. It always softens my heart, makes me smile and makes my eyes water a bit from happiness. Whatever my bad day is, this song by all of these great street musicians always lifts me up.

In my country Japan, mountains really collapsed and fell into the sea, and many city were disappeared into the sea. But we Japanese will never forget that people from many countries have helped us at that time. We were encouraged. Thank you!
