Shame on this couple. Who ever heard of such a thing? Downsize the scope of your plans to something you can afford. Or get married at the courthouse and then have a party (still on a scale that you can afford to pay for).

What if the guest just wanted to attend the ceremony and reception? “A 12 hour adventure” in NYC seems odd. If you are into that sort of thing, I guess it’s a good price, assuming that also includes the gift. If you have Jay-z or Beyonce preforming at your wedding, then sure charge money
