By the way, to anyone only noticing it during long, Herself is actually singing when he shatters the glass, finally crossing a line that he knew he shouldn’t have which was losing hope in it getting better, his last my way, was him questioning if his way was ever working in the first place. Which is why he was shaking during the short cutscene. Edit: Apparently when Yourself is grabbing his shirt he’s resisting the urge to try and hurt boyfriend, his smile falls because he’s hurting himself by reliving a memory, causing him to get violent, but as always, he controls himself.

I have a whole theory/interpretation on Yourself. The wiki mentions Herself's death and an unnamed accident. Not sure so much about the accident, maybe he tried to save her or smth. It says hes based on Lookalike, but not in the way he treated his girl. I think he loved her very much. In fact, I think the lyrics were him breaking the usual rap format and calling out to her. I know that's a stretch, but Herself's soul is inside Yourself's mic (also stated in the wiki). He's telling her to hold on a bit more, possibly so he can give his last goodbye. She appears and sings with him on "long enough to see my way". Herself's soul may be fading, and he's trying to talk to her once more, just wanting to hear her say she's proud of him. Yourself points at Boyfriend, but that may just be to reference to his mirroring of Boyfriend. When he sings "say how proud you are of me", his smile drops and he clutches his chest. The mirror also breaks behind him. He's putting so much emotion and power into this cry, it's literally shattering. The first "my way", he seems to be looking more at the mic, holding it out in front of him. The second "my way", is more of a scream than singing in the way his body language works. Then he slumps over, caught in a wave of grief that slowly grows with the blue hue. He's tired of hoping, of keeping that smile. He's overwhelmed with grief for the remaining few seconds of the song, as evident through the unchanging blue. Another note, Yourself's health icon changes to a bigger, more unhinged grin right before the health bar disappears entirely and he starts singing. The battle doesn't matter anymore, he's just depressed and tired. This isn't a display of power or dominance over Boyfriend - it's a cry of anguish and pain. But that's just a theory. a Game Theory. Learning the meaning of the lyrics literally has me crying at 5 am like, I had no idea that had even happened to divide, I stopped paying attention to the modding scene a long time ago. What a beautiful way to honor a friend and fellow modder, as well as incorporate it into a haunting scene within a mod using their character.

Has anybody else noticed that when the cutscene zooms in we can see that Yourself's fingers are shaking slightly but stop when the soul of Herself shows up, seemingly hugging him? She's still comforting him.
